Well, it's non-contract. So you are free to port-out if you don't like the new offerings should that happen. ;)

They also know that, so if they want to lose customers, they are also free to radically reduce the plan offering. Not sure if it makes business sense, but few things make sense these days. We now have companies randomly retrenching staff without even fulfilling regulatory notice obligations and giving retrenched staff the nominal 2 weeks/year compensation (typical is 1mo/year). Singapore's pro-business stance allows businesses to do anything to customers at their whim and fancy. It's sad, but that's the way things are here as our consumer protection laws have always been a joke.

medtech: Stryker, BD, JnJ, Pfizer etc…

Singapore businessman I feel very strange one. Business school teach we need to give promo to existing customers and take care of existing customers first. But here we practise musical chair. Haha! Jump here jump there get best savings. Stay at loyal customers get chop carrot. One brilliant idea they have is to ask u to sign long term plan. Haha
Because in reality, most customers won't bother jumping around especially since there is porting downtime. Therefore it's more profitable to NOT offer any promo to existing customers but to attract more that might move in and stay put.

Hi experts!

May I ask if the transfer of ownership during porting in is FOC or need to pay the $22 fee as stated in this document that was updated 6 days ago?

https://help.vivifi.me/hc/en-us/articles/23868967284889-Transfer-of-Ownership#:~:text=A one time charge of,belong to the new owner.

Thanks!
Have to clarify with them since this article is new, but from what it states, it suggests that it refers to current subscribers on existing plans with them. So just like other operators with an ownership change mechanism, there's a service fee for that administrative process.

Last I recall, transfer during porting is different because they register to the new owner directly when the line is imported into their system. So there is not actually a change of owner (you can view it as the changing happening while in transition). There's no extra admin work to update your particulars because they just register it under the new owner from the start.
