The students want the school brand name / reputation to be on par with the rest, but PM Lee's suggestion is that the way forward is for them to do well, go out and impress employers, so that the reputation of the school will be as well, if not better than the rest, and their juniors will benefit.

ppl drop out coz they can't be bothered/ no time to study / last min study wanna learn 1 semester stuff in 1 day etc.

if chiu do study properly , do assignment , attend all lecture regularlly, should be hokay ba

last time when they officially conferred AU status and transition period, you could tell they were super desperate to find instant success and to be instantly on par with NTU, NUS, SMU. they brought in many new bloods (which meant many lecturers/professors left), tried to change things to get rid of the part-time university reputation. kinda like doing experiments and students (both current and prospective) are guinea pigs.
