probably. but not many people have 4k tvI think switch 2 might be upgraded to support 4K
While geeks like you and I use hwz, the majority of the public and Switch buying crowd would care little if their Mario or Animal Crossing runs at 4K or not. Leave the pointless resolution spec chasing to the PS and Xbox crowd.probably. but not many people have 4k tv
spec chasing would make more sense cause u notice through gameplay. While geeks like you and I use hwz, the majority of the public and Switch buying crowd would care little if their Mario or Animal Crossing runs at 4K or not. Leave the pointless resolution spec chasing to the PS and Xbox crowd.
Welcome to Nintendo Switch!
Tips, to create multiple eShop. So as to purchase game from the different eShop. Usually the Mexico/Argentina/japan eShop has the lowest prices.
I would visit here to do comparison.
https://eshop-prices.com/
For me, I have 3 different eShop account.
USA, Japan, Mexico.
Payment wise, is via PayPal.
Also if you are using US eShop account, during payment, they will ask for USA postal code, use any of the tax-free U.S. Zip Code. Some states in the United States don’t charge additional tax for digital purchases.

Usually eShop would have promo or discount for games. So is more cheaper. For physical games, I purchased a few during my last Japan trip. You can go also carousell for 2nd hand or purchase brand new at those game shop in SG mall.
For my own collection, majority of them are eShop purchased. Only about 6 are physical games.
Hi guys, are you using the same ID for all the different eShops like USA and Japan? Thanks for the tips! I managed to follow your steps!
Created USA and JP accounts/ profiles for the eshop purposes. Also successfully managed to purchase a game from the JP eshop, using my Trust credit card (somehow I don't see option for PayPal even though I already linked it). [Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection at JPY990 -- don't know considered cheap or not but want to try-try the whole experience only]
Now am deciding which other eshop region should I make: Mexico, South Africa or Argentina. I did some reading, people said Argentina eshop no longer useful coz the prices skyrocketed out of the blue?
Will continue to look around for used/ pre-loved games.. so far I noticed the prices for the used games market also quite steep leh, like got resale value for used games. If eshop/ online is cheaper = I buy from online. If 2nd hand cheaper = just get. Hopefully it's as straightforward as buying a 3DS cartridge games (or older!).. lol.
Thanks again!
i have switched regions multiple times on one ID without any issues so far. but you can register another ID for a second region if you want to play safe.Hi guys, are you using the same ID for all the different eShops like USA and Japan?
Yeah, I also observe there's no harm doing it, that's why I posted the question on why is there a need for different accounts for different region.i have switched regions multiple times on one ID without any issues so far. but you can register another ID for a second region if you want to play safe.
For me, I play safe. 1 profile for each Region: USA , JP, Mexico. All can use PayPal and my Trust credit card without issues. However, my Nintendo Online + Expansion pack is using my US profile. So far works OK, my e-shop purchased games can still be played by any of my profiles.Hi guys, are you using the same ID for all the different eShops like USA and Japan?
It's up to you. I have one Nintendo-licensed pro controller and one OEM pro controller (both wireless and has the amiibo NFC functionality) for me to try-try, works OK!Oh, for additional joycon controllers, do you guys buy original or OEMs?
Ya, I'm doing this too. So far so good lol.Hi guys, is it ok to keep the switch powered on and docked 24x7? Will heat kill the console?
Thanks.
If it’s not running any game, it’s barely generating any heat.Hi guys, is it ok to keep the switch powered on and docked 24x7? Will heat kill the console?

What about the longevity of the battery? If it’s not running any game, it’s barely generating any heat.

Bonus? I believe it stays with the profile used to purchase the games..I see.
So if you buy games online from different regions, how does the bonus work?
So if I have 3 profiles in each country, the bonus (gold points) will be separated in the respective profilesBonus? I believe it stays with the profile used to purchase the games..
Hi @segafan , do you need to create a Japanese PayPal account to buy from Japan's eshop? Thanks for the tips! I managed to follow your steps!

I think the term you’re looking for is the “dock”, not console. You only need it if you want to play on the tv, and there are cheap adapter versions that would work if you don’t want to buy a genuine Nintendo one.Hii guys, my son have been gifted a used nintendo switch led from his cousin. He didnt pass the console to us. As his father, I am totally noob to this nintendo switch thingy =).
I have a few qns. We don't have the console. So if want to update, izzit a must to have the console?
And we want to connect the switch to the TV and play via the TV, what accessories should I get to ?
Does shop here sell the console separately? Or is it a must to have the console?
Sorry for the long post and thanks for reading
