Brief introduction. A brief area code. There's a lot of stuff that have been omitted eg nakano Broadway, ikeburuko..

Did my virgin ski trip to Niseko, 6d5n (for 4 full days of ski'ing), verdict: Niseko is great, but the premium for convenience is extremely extremely high. Also lesson learned, 4-years old don't expect them to know how to ski in just a few days.

Obv if you don’t need ski in ski out hotel and can queue for dinners, costs will be quite a bit lower.

Hotel was $5000 / 514,000yen?! lol typo?
No typo, it really costs that much for 5 nights to be right next to the slopes (right next door to the ski school). If don’t need that kind of convenience then elsewhere in the village is (probably) much cheaper.

Most t probably 2 person

80-100 per night?

Around mid April to end April (9 days)
Unfortunately hotel rates have been going up due to demand. For your budget have to look at Ueno, Asakusa and ikeburuko.

Ikeburuko is only couple of stops away from Shinjuku. There's some bus tours to kawaguchiko, mount Fuji starting from Shinjuku. Stayed there last month. Lots of train lines and budget food.

Searched Airbnb for last trip but didn't like locations.
Do search in Google maps - ikeburuko, Ueno and asakusa. Find i one near train station within your budget. You need to check for yourself distance and location is acceptable.
Go for twin bed if possible. Their double bed can be on small side.

Can find Muslim friendly Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi food. Do note McDonald's Japan have pork items.

My suggestion is go either Tokyo or Osaka/Kyoto. Can be done if just want to tick of the list and say I've been there.
