Sadly, looks like classic case of you pay for what you get. TBH i was considering MR 5G or Singtel. Price wise no brainer lah. $24.95 for 6 months then $29.95. No contract, free caller ID & 7GB data daily so 210GB a month.

Singtel first 12 months still ok just a bit more ex than MR but after that siong sia. $51.30 a month ($45.85 + caller ID $5.45) & data from 188GB reduce to only 50GB a month. And tied down for another 12 months.

Pricewise Singtel really not worth it after 12 months. But if their 5G coverage is the best, then i guess they can afford to be arrogant when pricing.

yeah im abit caught i thoguht backed by starhub should be safe.. but seemingly as telco sell wholesale to mvno, its still not as good as the telco itself..

singtel is really ex tho, im considering zym now.. backed by singtel..

zym isn't backed by Singtel, they just purchase data wholesale from singtel and resell it. Same as vivifi, Zero1, CMLink, etc.

Understandable that telco will not let MVNO have full benefits else they sabo ownself. Have decided to go with Singtel. Fingers crossed!

he was referring to receiving incoming roaming calls via data using MyRepublic app which is free…
How is the free incoming roaming voice calls in JB using the app?

Guess need to do something else the calls will be charged too.

Hi all, do any of you have experience porting out of MyRepublic 5G? to SIMBA

I actually did once in May 2023. That time I chose "MyRepublic Mobile" at SIMBA site when indicating prev telco. Everything works.

This time I also put "MyRepublic Mobile". But port in failed, SIMBA says MR did not release my number.
I asked MR and they say should put "StarHub" instead. I find that confusing?

So did anyone share same experience? Thx

Yup, as MR 5G is under Starhub, just resubmit and port in again as what MR advised.

Thank you, I have requested to do so.
It's a bit weird, because all virtual operators' names are listed their, like giga, MR, ZYM, ...
In this case not suer to input virtual operator's name or the back-bone operator's

If MVNO is available, select MVNO, otherwise, backbone infra. :)

Few questions

1. Sign the plan today Friday morning, will I get ported in by sat or Monday?
2. If I slipped into area without 5G will I be using 4G from m1’s coverage instead? APN got problem?

Pre thanks for any helpful replies
