Anyone knows how to make payment after 3 months? I believe the initial deposit covered that right.

No letter or email from SIMBA.

I'm lost.

They will probably bill the same card again. Lol i asked them how to login to manage account if you dont have simba phone. They say
“Currently, as we're in the initial stages of our Broadband service, the app/ MY account is not yet available for this service.”

They used some kind of device to test the FO wire, the FO port, no abnormality.
Day 14 without any solution or timeline from SIMBA.

I understand majority of the users have no issue, but beware that once you kena, you will wish you never touch SIMBA.
so how today liao

That's what they said for their mobile services when asked why don't have consolidation

Hi everyone - been struggling with Simba customer service since my earlier post (central area / adam road, 700~ mbps (myrepublic/starhub ie. SG servers) at best with direct wired connection to ONT).

They came back and said its working within specifications. This is not the service for you to be gunning for high speeds if u staying in central. Well... locked in for another 11 months. Hopefully things will improved #fingercrossed.

I have not tried Simba Fiber support yet. When I was using their mobile service, as long as there was data, they would reply that the download speed of 2 Mbps was within specifications for their mobile data.

I would still recommend them as a secondary backup. Firstly, they don't have a tech support hotline (from what I last understood), everything has to be communicated via email. Don't feel safe as primary internet connection, it could be down for days without being able to reach out to anyone for help.

For those unlucky guys with issues, were the fiber optic ever used with other telco with no issues?

Any chance that the FO cable has issues so that those who are having no problem with existing FO would expect no issue as well.

i will likely be migrating my starhub when i move over in june after renos done and i'll see if i can do a comparison. but it's 1gb plan so not sure if can see any significance difference. "likely" only cause come july i'll hit my 24 months with starhub and might terminate....

on the other hand, i'm looking at myrepublic 10g cause can use own router. come june/july i'll see what happens and see if can give some comparisons here.

Today the NLT tech came and activated the port and tested the signal strength. I guess tomorrow Simba will come to install the ONT. How do they inform me what time they are coming ? by whatapp, SMS , call, email?

I am on SIMBA broadband now for a couple of days.

The good:
- Speed. No glitches/outages. ping -n 100 reliable and fast
- Support response time (via their site and support ticketing system) usually within hours.
- SIMBA ONT installation: Calls ahead on the day. Small dedicated box. Done in 10-15 min and works.

The bad:
- NLT appointment was scheduled but never happened. Technician was able to self-service. No appointment call or anything. I only came to know by asking SIMBA that there is no home visit. You are left in the blind whether NLT visits or not.
- No IPv6!?
- CG-NAT (i.e. shared dynamic IPv4 with others)
- "My account" feature for broadband does not exist yet. You have essentially no way of managing your account other than using the Support ticketing system.
- You prepay the whole 1 year contract
- I was not able to choose the 3 month contract during signup (had to go for 1 year)
- The email to support@simba.sg is responded with "not monitored", even though it is advertised as contact mechanism. All your initial requests need to go through their Support Ticketing site.

Cheap, simple, works, not fancy. However I would have really liked IPv6 coming with it, if you do CG-NAT.

Saw on Carousell that Challenger Hougnag has a $149 deal for the TP-LINK Archer AX55 Pro AX3000 WI-FI 6 2.5G WAN ROUTER until 30 th april. Is this worth getting with the Simba 2.5 plan?
Will this significantly improve this internet speed on my PC (direct cable) and using ipad, phone browsing via wifi?

What is your current router?

Archer AX55 Pro has only 2.5G WAN/LAN port and the LAN ports are still Gigabit LAN port. So it will not really increase your wired device speed (like your PC). It should help to increase the wireless speed though.

https://www.tp-link.com/sg/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-ax55-pro/#specifications
Ethernet Ports
• 1× 2.5 Gigabit WAN/LAN Port
• 1× Gigabit WAN/LAN Port
• 3× Gigabit LAN Ports

If you do not mind no local warranty, Asus China TX-AX6000 (dual 2.5G ports) will be a much better buy at at RMB 729 (plus Shipment and GST).
