Hi. I want to port my circle.life number to SIMBA business. The registration system from SIMBA highlights that I need to show them the latest invoice from my current telco in order to do porting.

Problem is my circle.life is a $0 flexi plan, there is no invoice. Does anyone here had the similar problem?

just do the registration online. If you can use eSIM. My experience using esim, and purchasing online, everything done thru singpass. Never ask for invoices.

I just went to a retailer and bought a Simba SIM for $10, I asked them to port my Starhub prepaid number. They didn't give me any instructions. Just handover the SIM to me. I inserted the SIM and it is working. I found out the number. But I don't know what is the plan prepaid or postpaid. Also I am not able to get OTP to login to the app. It just say, unable to send OTP.

Has it been ported yet? When did you receive the SIM? Porting takes time, normally will start after 11pm. You don't get ported immediately

Haven't ported yet, but I tried the temporary number which comes with the SIM. I am not able to get OTP to login to the app.

on your Simba sim, sms type "1" and send to 1218.
it should show the balance and the phone number.

usually Simba doesn't provide temporary number.
if you need to port in, better go to orchard branch to sign up and then port in.

Normal Simba Retail Partner doesn't handle port in from Prepaid to Postpaid properly.

Just to update, my prepaid SH to Simba porting was successful, overnight. I had bought from a retailer. So far great experience. I am also able to login to the app and it tells me my plan is Sim only 100gb. Does this mean it is postpaid or prepaid? Also what happens after 30 days if I don't top up?

I think postpaid have no limit. Prepaid have limit.

Each eligible customer can sign-up to maximum of 4 SIMBA Seniors Go Digital Plans.

Unsure about other plans but should be the same

Each of these is a separate account ie you have to login to each separately, you can't see them within one account.

However you can register the 4 numbers under one contact.

Giga is postpaid. Simba, depends on the plan you choose, you can choose either prepaid or postpaid while signing up.

@Jurong640 , I tried to read the critical information sheet and it says both prepaid and postpaid plans have recurring 30 day plan and charged in advance. Then what is the difference between prepaid and postpaid?

I am also curious if anyone has tried mobile hotspot using Simba and cancelled their home broadband?

I have M1 500mbps and I have been waiting for M1 to drop their broadband prices to match with Simba/Whizzcom. But since they haven't, I am considering just cancelling the M1 broadband and living with mobile hotspot for sometime.

Then if it becomes frustrating using hotpot, I then subscribe to the Simba 2.5gbps annual plan. It takes about 12 months to break even due to the 1 time costs of NLT+activation. After that you start savings

If TPG gives me 3-digit download and 2-digit upload, I still can consider.

I don't need high speed. We don't do gaming. Around 10mbps stable speed is what we want.

IMHO.
You'll have to manage your expectation of stable speed.
Broadband speed is stable. Speedtest for idle, download and upload ping is below 10.
Mobile speed, high pings and it depends on number of users in your area.
The last I tested by TPG speed, they were single digit download and upload.
The upload/download ping can be in hundreds or thousands - affect the user experience.

For me, I try very hard to use the 100GB from TPG - slow until I give up.
I use Simba 5G as a hotspot in daytime - early morning can disconnect me.
YMMV.
