I think can sell on secondary market, but not sure if it's easy to sell (got buyer or not).

imo, 3.25% coupon is pretty good for 30 years. stable and long payout.

Can sell easily on secondary market if you have at least 1 lot (250k), otherwise its going to be very hard to get out of this.

Seems it is under Electronic Securities Application (ESA) rather than Singapore Government Securities (SGS). Strange.

SGS30Y Fixed Price: $99.053
i think cause is under syndication and cause the price is know it's like applying for IPO

this one not issued yet, confirmed no volume lah
but when it is issued maybe will have some activity....
if i die, this goes to estate and distribute to NOK right?

this is really have the money and want some pocket money kind of bond....
at first wanted to apply for 30K (since this sum is also always rolling around in FD) but now a bit hesitant as time duration is quite long

Can consider a shorter term bond with far more flexibility to liquidate, such as the SSB that is still open for application. 10 years yield 3.33% pa.

If put $100k means will collect $3250 a year for 30 years + $100k back at the end for NOK to settle any final-years arrangements (assuming still alive).

Sounds not bad leh...

Still considering. Provides certainty.
Juz that won't be easy to sell if really need the money. So it must be spare cash.

What a fantastic month to be in. So many bonds and spoiled of choices.

So much as there are ppl who complain yield is too low.

When the easing starts, will be nice to look at these posts to reminisce such yield.

in the end I didn't apply 'cos I think I won't see to the end of 30 years... and have nobody to will it to. but yeah 3.25% is not a bad passive income.

hope MAS will release shorter tenure in the near future.
