yes. Repaired the hinge and LCD
LCD developed a few bad pixels and got it changed under warranty

it depends on your warranty. If you get a depot warranty. Then you have to go to service centre

I’ve upgraded it to premier support with is home based support. Then added international warranty

I just got my Lenovo laptop hinge repaired within the same day .

After searching youtube apparently this problem is quite common with most laptop brand except Apple .

Service man recommmended that need to flip
open from the center instead of left or right side to avoid such problem occurring .

Lenovo users, please make sure you check your laptop internal condition after Lenovo repair is done.

I had a similar experience to this where in my case the Lenovo technician has not route the display cable properly which has lead to a partial tear and causing screen flickering.

If this happen to you and your laptop goes out of warranty, the charges will definitely be on you so make sure you do a check after the repair and make sure that they have not done any funny stuffs that will cause future damage to your laptop.

I started searching around and came across this post and its a similar story, and lenovo CSOs are exploiting the situation for profit.


Please be alert and monitor what they do when they repair at your home, it's best to setup a camera so they can't play any tricks.
