The "cheapest" spring drive on Carousel is about SGD$3400 there about....
unfortunately, there are very few legitimate shops selling spring drive seiko watches because everyone is just trading Rolexes and Royal Oaks :(

If there is a legit shop that resells spring drive watches please let me know🙏
They carry brand new GS below rrp. They have pre-owned as well. You can search for them in carousel to see the GS they carry.

Brought GS from this shop before and he is legit. Source his GS from overseas AD and can help to find countries specific limited editions.

What’s your concern?
scam? Fake?
Concern is fake. But the seller I’m looking at has have a ton of positive reviews and the account has been selling watches for some time. The one I’m looking to buy also come with full papers (but papers can be faked right?)

Thank you for being helpful and provided info which helped, instead of some of the other snarky comments here.

Appreciate it

Fake is not likely for Spring Drive, but i think the concern is more if TS will honour the warranty claim as SD repair they have to send it back to JP.

If have concerns about dealing via carousell, then I will strongly advise to get it from reputable pre owned watch shops

Have an SPB151 at the moment, thinking of trading up for an SLA049/051. Anyone has the SLA and does it compare favourably against a Swiss diver in the same price range?

If you can get it really cheap, it’s probably worth it.
I don’t think that there are significant upgrades to the SLA, except only the 8L movement, it doesn’t have the usual MM300 specs like WR300 or monobloc case.
If you are buying the capt Willard for the iconic case design, then no point comparing to other Swiss watches.

It's about 2.6k on Carousell new, so maybe need to top up 1.9k or so after selling my SPB.

The fit of the SLA, along with slimming down the protruding chunk on the right is quite a bit better than the SPB. Along with a way more stable movement.

Maybe will looksee again at Seiko boutique then decide.

Longines Spirit Zulu Time in 39mm.
COSC certified chronometer; bracelet comes with quick release buttons.

A tribute to Longines' first dual-time wrist watch that was released almost exactly 100 years ago in 1925!

Very very unlikely to buy a fake spring drive movt. But there are those Seiko modders selling fake or modded GS at below $400 in carousel but they dun post as real GD SD watch.
The finishing and the smoothness of the second hand can't be replicated.
Even Seiko Prospex LX springdrive movt bust isn't GS also got damn perfect finishing and feel. The moment u feel hold and fondle the watch, u know it's not a normal seiko
