Just sharing my good experience on shopee purchase.

Seller: HockMobile Store
Bought: $104 balance (13months worth of subscriptions) for only $83.41
Voucher: Shopee Coin $6++, $10 off min spend $100.
Turnover Time: within 1 mins, I received sms from eight saying that my account has topped up. The seller will shopee chat you once done too.

Overall: $83.41/13months = $6.42/month.

For those interest can consider.

I signed up for the $0 plan through online on Friday 19 July 2024 and opted for mail delivery.
Today, Thursday 25 July 2024, I received the SIM card in my mailbox.
I then activated the SIM card as per given instructions and now is up and running.
If it works well, then I may want to upgrade to the $8 plan.
Me too but I cannot remember what no. I chose and the SIM card does not show the no. too. It seems I need to input that no. to activate it. How to check what is my no.? Have to write in and wait for their reply endlessly?

Call any of your friends, then ask them what no. appears on their phone.

When you signed up successfully, you will received a SMS from Eight whereby your selected mobile number, activation code and URL for activation are tabulated in the message.

You will still need the activation code which will be sent by Eight via SMS upon successful sign up.
They sent my Activation code via email, along with the number and the activation link.

Just FYI For some who might be waiting for a code via SMS. I never got any code via SMS and was wondering for a while, until I saw it on the email.

Mine was sent via SMS, never receive any via email.

Hence it will be better to check both sources for activation info.

What if I do the port in at service center? Do I still need the activation code and link?

Thinking of trying it out after reading so many good reviews about them.

wait 200gb + roll over + 5g = $8...
eight telco lose liao.
hmm, cannot bah, then eight will say the other telcos copy eight

even heya's ads also cannot say "eight", can only say huat - top up $10 for 128GB data

same as well when they 1st came out with S8 and $18 plan. but didnt know that till now seems like didn't put.even till today.

I think there isn't any minimum period, the only minimum period I saw is under their Critical Information Summary: No termination fee (A fee of $20 is chargeable if termination happens within 30 days of SIM activation.

super unlikely. At most maybe 11.11/IT Fair have sales with 4G, add on more GB for few months, and throw in roaming, jst wont have drastic price diff. 5G market price range wont be so cheap. 5G operating cost is higher, from deployment, purchasing new equipment and infrastructure. The cheapest i saw is $15 (zym), or maybe $10.08 (zero1 plan, rumour has it that their free 3 months 5G extend for eternity, my father using it now.)

After successful sign up, I did not receive any SMS or email. Now the SIM card arrives, the instruction is :
1. visit website link
2. enter no.
3. scan bar code on SIM card.
I will be stuck on step 2. But I have yet to activate as I prefer to activate later. But thank you for the info. Guess if no choice, then email Eight for assistance. 😀

Sharing my experience, did a port-in sign-up for Double Eight plan yesterday.

7am:

Previous telco was deactivated sometime in the night and my port-in number was not receiving any phone calls or SMS as of 7am. Received the following when I insert my eight SIM card:
Woohoo! Welcome to team eight! You have successfully activated your line with us. Learn more about eight at www.eight.com.sg/help

9:54am:
Received the following SMS:
At Woohoo! Welcome to team eight! You have successfully activated your line with us. Learn more about eight at www.eight.com.sg/help

Port-in number is receiving SMS and calls.

So just be a bit patient in case you were concerned no calls or SMS were receiving in the morning. I am guessing they activated the SIM first before the port-in completed fully.

Thank you! The people here are so detailed!

In short, it means $28 ($8 + $20) in the event where I wish to port out within 30 days.
