Did you send email to portin@eight? They are unresponsive to email. Send to helpme@eight instead.
Have not received the sim after signing online on Jul 23. Emailed helpme@eight but no response. Can I just go to retail or need to wait for my sim? I am afraid it will double my subscription.

Just like me. Ported on 12 july, but didn't received the sim card. So on 31 July, i go to service centre and got it done. Port in successfully done on the same day.
I tried going to retail shop, but they run out of sim cards.

I just applied for early release of golden number with Simba. Apparently, payment is immediate but the outcome of release is two working days later. W t f.

EDIT: less than 30mins fter i left the simba svc ctr, rcvd a msg saying I am released.

Just like me. Ported on 12 july, but didn't received the sim card. So on 31 July, i go to service centre and got it done. Port in successfully done on the same day.
I tried going to retail shop, but they run out of sim cards.
might just visit the retail shop as well before end of month (y)

Hi, if i want to port into eight and want to collect physically instead of delivery. Must i go down to the Service Center? Or i can go down to any SIM Pick up points listed to do the porting process?

4 Aug 115am on Eight with old number
Interesting, I thought they don't leave SIM cards in mailbox. In the past for all other providers, we always used to get delivery and then need to sign.

wah at least your s is quite a smooth flow while some of us like nothing happening lei.... i applied earlier than you but till now still have not port over the number :(

Interesting, I thought they don't leave SIM cards in mailbox. In the past for all other providers, we always used to get delivery and then need to sign.
maybe tbey decided to choose normal mail instead of tracking mail for cost.

$0 plan terminated at Ubi "Service Centre" today.
less than 10 minutes, line is terminated.
signed up online and chose eSIM.
Will update y'all.

I have a very bad port-in experience, which is still a pending issue.

28 July - Port-In request (eSIM) from GOMO, received the eSIM with a temporary number
4 Aug - Phone still showing "No SIM" status, so removed eSIM. The eSIM QR from the email failed to load. Realised Port-In still not completed, and GOMO billed me for the month of Aug today.

Given the bad port-in experience, I'm quite hesitant to follow through the port-in. I'm requesting to cancel my port-in request, let's see how this goes.

Waiting to change a line to pSIM, but hesitating to visit Lucky Plaza from the reviews. :crazy:

I avoided Lucky Plaza although it is so much nearer lol i just wanna avoid the shady dealing by the jhk. the boss in ubi is nice and helpful. Zero drama. Zero upselling etc this guy see break everything liao lah.

anyway saw a post before this, same scenario. Porting from GOMO pSIM to eight eSIM. Bo pi bo pi, nothing goes wrong.

when I used to travel, I used a U Mobile sim card, no problems

recently used eight in Jb, on maxis network. some places no signal eg mt austin. may be just a bad day, so take it as just another data point
