So mine was confirmed bricked by the hub trooper. Replaced with a new unit, let's see how stable this new unit is now.
So is the new unit having new firmware now or still running old firmware?

Anyone else got the firmware updates and can share the experience?

Yeah the new firmware got unlock 2gb ram? It’s still showing 50% or 25% usage? I beggar SH to give back 2gb to us, don’t let tplink cheat us!

seems phased roll outs, why SH should yolo release the OTA.

Someone reported it brick their router, won’t be surprised SH now pause rollout!
It seems it's based on when you signed up. My friend (signed up in Apr) got the new firmware. I signed up in May, so, hopefully soon. Although, this bricking issue makes me worry now

Can confirm with me the old firmware details? Seems after replace the router I'm getting speeds around 1500MBPS on speedtest. A huge improvement. Network all smooth, no more call drops when on remote calls.

New Router FW: 0.4.0 3.0.0 v608b.0 Build 240122 Rel.66930n

1. No. But you can disable the Wireless function of the Nokia XS-2426X-A ONR.

FTP -- Nokia ONR (wireless disabled, main router) --> EB810v in AP mode (no Double NAT)
FTP -- Nokia ONR (wireless disabled, main router) --> EB810v in royter mode (Double NAT)

2. Or you can ask Starhub to chage Nokia ONR to Nokia ONT. In that case, EB810v will be the main router.
FTP -- Nokia ONT --> EB810v in router mode (main router, no Double NAT)

3. More about Double NAT: it does not affect normal web browsing or media streaming

Are you using Starhub 5Gbps plan or 10Gbps plan?

Are you using Nokia XS-2426X-A ONR now? Do you have issues with that?

Please also refer to the above answers when mixing Nokia ONR with EB810v.

thanks much. 5gbps plan.

apologies it was a nokia beacon, rather than an ONR. i thought it wld be ok to have it as a bridging network but the auto switching to a stronger network is not happening

So you have the EB810v and Nokia Beacon 2 (throw the Nokia Beacon 1 away if you have that) and you want to use the Nokia Beacon 2 as an AP, that is fine.

But I guess you are saying seamless roaming does not work when you use the same SSID? That is kind of normal.

Or you are saying seamless roaming does not work with different SSIDs, that is even normal and expected. You have to manually switching the SSIDs in this case, if not the device will cling to the first SSID until it is super weak (which does not seem to happen in your case).

All in all, you can not really expect good roaming performnace when you have the EB810v and Nokia Beacon 2.

i see. yea referring to seamless roaming not really happening with the same SSID

in fact, sometimes the SSID does not show up at all. so i am wondering if the configuration itself has gone wrong (and if theres some manual i can follow)

I would not mess with the Nokia Beacon myself. Just forget about it and get a TP-Link Archer AX72 as the mesh node for EB810v.

Nokia Beacon 2 may be useful for Nokia XS-2426X-A ONR users as a mesh node.

But if you have Nokia Beacon 1, hide it somewhere or throw it away...

But then you can always call Nokia or Starhub for support.

how do you setup mesh with archer ax 72. i managed to score one off carousell but 810v has no easymesh option in the tether app.

Is there anyway to get this update sooner? Call SH technical hotline maybe?

Mine updated automatically (so it showed firmware was up-to-date) - didn't even realise until I looked at the firmware version.

Speedtest results are weird though - I wonder if it has the CPU to handle speedtest properly.

Using CLI on my Mac:
Code:
Server: StarHub Ltd - Singapore (id: 4235)
         ISP: StarHub
Idle Latency: 2.82 ms (jitter: 0.56ms, low: 2.32ms, high: 3.38ms)
Download: 7726.52 Mbps (data used: 10.6 GB)
                  8.79 ms (jitter: 1.05ms, low: 2.96ms, high: 18.69ms)
Upload: 5785.57 Mbps (data used: 10.1 GB)
                  3.24 ms (jitter: 0.48ms, low: 2.89ms, high: 8.86ms)
