The lowest end A-series phone will apparently come with six years of OS updates and security patches.

Leak: Samsung will blow away other budget phone makers with update policy

the phone is said to offer a glasstic (glass-like plastic) rear cover and the Key Island bump seen on the Galaxy A35 5G and A55 5G. The phone will purportedly be available in Light Green, Blue Black, and Gold color schemes.
Samsung’s upcoming budget phone is expected to have a 6.7-inch 90Hz screen, an Exynos 1330 or Dimensity 6100 series chipset, 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB of storage, and an IP54 rating. It also looks like the phone will unfortunately drop the 3.5mm jack.

The Galaxy A16 5G will apparently launch in India by the end of the month. So you should keep an eye on this phone if you want a cheap device that will receive updates for years.

The A16 measures 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.9 mm and weighs 192g or 200g depending on version. It will be offered in Light Green, Blue Black, and Gold. A previous certification revealed it would sport a 5,000 mAh battery.

The Galaxy A16 5G will use the Dimensity 6300 in India and Thailand

This version appeared in benchmark results a while back with a Dimensity 6300 chipset. Later, a different model, SM-A166E, showed up with an Exynos 1330 instead. Chances are that different regions are getting different chips. India and Thailand are getting the Dimensity version. One model had just 4GB of RAM, which is going to be tough after six years, but the other benchmarked model had 6GB (that isn’t much either). There should be an option for 8GB too.

So likely SG and the rest of SEA gets D6300.

Chipset lottery also happens in the budget sector, e1330 performs better than the D6300

The A5x series also easily comes off, the glue isn't good enough. Want better quality, the better ones to go is S series. Otherwise, get xiaomi for entry to mid end phones
