Anybody knows if an ID will receive kickbacks if he keeps pushing you to use only certain suppliers for your house fittings

You pay him ID fees? As in like 5k-20k to him alone for his services?
Then you insist on your own supplier lor.

There are 2 kinds of ID, and they also need to eat. Either you pay him or he takes a cut from the suppliers.

Contractors will be good to help you coordinate while you are away.

But ala carte can have better material at better price. For minimalist designs, don't need designer one.

Yes! From lighting shop, Furniture shop, Tiles etc, coverage around 10%. Common practice. U pay attention to those lighting shops with model number below price tags, the front alphabets are usually cost price of the products.

ID normally will notify to mark-up before sending "carrots" for shopping.

Standard one, there's commission for bringing customers to the supplier.

But the good thing is normally the flow will be better, eg the supplier can give the stocks first and charge the actual usage later also. Normally they work together long term so less issues.

Recommendation fee. Real estate agent recommend you contractor or ID also have fees or other benefits

If not much difference just suan ler, cos sometimes the trouble to solve small issues or excess cannot return.

Some ID wont really force but yeah its pretty much standard
