They did invite us last June for a last minute trip, double date, 7D in Tokyo only. Turned them down because we already booked a 28D trip in last Nov.
did you still travel with them after ?

suggest you list where u intend to visit then decide how many days u want for osaka & kyoto. i suspect u will end up needing more days in osaka. kyoto only for those who enjoy temples, cultures & plenty of walkingTo be honest, haven't really plan out an itinerary. Probably flying in to Kansai Airport. As I'll be travelling with a 1 year old child, wouldn't want to rush exploring Osaka and Kyoto hence the thoughts of spending 4 days in Osaka and 4 days in Kyoto. So actually an IC card would be sufficient to travel around Osaka and Kyoto? That would also mean I'll have to get Shinkansen tickets separately to travel between Osaka and Kyoto if I wish to travel using the bullet train?
Thinking to go for 9 days trip to Tokyo and Osaka. For Osaka, planning to go Kyoto and Nara. So should I stay in Osaka and do a day trip or is better to stay in Kyoto and Nara?
First time diy my trip so any input are welcome. Thank you
Thank you. So can stay in Osaka and go for day trip to Kyoto, Kansai and Nara. Plan to in Tokyo and out from Osaka.Suggest first timer to stay Osaka or Tokyo region. There lots of day trips and attractions for both cities.
If going Kansai can stay Osaka, Kyoto and Nara subject to your interests.
Kyoto is about 30 minutes train journey from Osaka.
Are you flying in Osaka and out Tokyo or vice versa. One way by shinkansen is about yen14,000.
Thank you. So can stay in Osaka and go for day trip to Kyoto, Kansai and Nara. Plan to in Tokyo and out from Osaka.
True. But if not stay overnight might be very rush.Depends on your itinerary. Do note that checking in and out of hotels can take up a lot of time.
If taking Tokaido shinkansen from Tokyo you need to reserve space for oversized luggage or use luggage forwarding.
Osaka near Namba or Umeda, Tokyo anywhere near major train station. Also may I know which area should I stay in Tokyo and Osaka?
Namba or Shinsaibashi better in term of walk around shop and dine? Thank you.Osaka near Namba or Umeda, Tokyo anywhere near major train station.
Namba or Shinsaibashi better in term of walk around shop and dine? Thank you.
Thank you for clear my doubt. Because from YouTuber like a lot of them suggest to stay shinshaibashi.Namba, walking distance to dotonburi and shinshaibashi. Near train and metro stations. Easy to kix via rap:t train. Near takashimaya at nankai namba.
both are ok, namba is probably a little better when it comes to transport station. Shinsaibashi probably a little easier to find cheaper hotel. But both within 10-15mins walk. Gift shopping wise, I find Shinsaibashi better, Namba has more "touristy" spot and restaurant.Namba or Shinsaibashi better in term of walk around shop and dine? Thank you.
Are you a fast-paced traveler, just visiting places to take pics? Or a slow traveler?i'm looking to spend 8-9 days in either Osaka/Kyoto or Tokyo/nearby-area or mix of both Osaka/Kyoto/Tokyo. not sure if 9 days enough to cover 2 cities or should i go one city only? first timer to japan fyi.
thanks.
I'd be traveling with wife and 3 kids. so it will he slower pacedAre you a fast-paced traveler, just visiting places to take pics? Or a slow traveler?
I’d prefer to stick to one city for the whole trip. 8-9D means you have 6-7 full days. It’s your choice, there’s no right or wrong.
Discuss with your family to see which city they’d prefer to visit. Any theme park(s) for the kids? If yes, then just stick to that city.
