In the end I went to a random shop and got it for $15. They said is good enough although I asked if they still have any others. The brand is simi ESD BA-KING with a donkey kong looking face. Got the clear version with no black border. Sales person said iPhone itself already got a black border liao so even if we use black border screen protector it is about the same.

If I ownself can stick nicely I’d have do it myself since so much cheaper.

Ip16pm border is smaller than previous version. Some black border screen protector may block part of the screen. I feel no black border type is fine with me. Now many screen protector will come with the kit for ease of diy.

It's easy to paste with the help of the frame. The hard part is making sure no dusts are caught when you are placing down the glass.

Nope. I don’t do that. Can cause lens refraction.

I bought a cheap one from taobao to play with. Looks somewhat cool from aesthetic standpoint. But I removed it after 1 or 2 weeks anyway and as others cited, it does affect image quality with light having to pass through additional layer of glass..

Have been using the cheap clear screen protectors from Shopee all these years.

Applied the clear screen protector from Shopee to an iPhone 16 and noticed that it is not flushed with the phone at the edges. Bought another set of from a different vendor and purposely selected a matt screen protector, the same problem.

Thinking it might be the phone's problem. Went down to MBS Apple store and apllied a Belkin screen protector from the Apple store. Strange enough, the screen protector is flushed, just like it should be.

Long story short, going to get another iPhone soon and I feel that the Belkin screen protector is too expensive.

Anyone can share what screen protector you've tried and works?

Thanks.

I bought a camera lens protector from Torras in Taobao. It has many good reviews but the piece I received don’t flush with the camera glass. Aesthetically, it has black rings which look quite awful and the rings aren’t positioned properly with respect to the camera lens.
I requested for a replacement and if the replacement piece still has the same defects then I will remove it for good.
