eight's website, Help, FAQ has your answer. Under "Renew or Recharge".

Thanks & prior to ur reply already checked that:
  • At your plan expiry, the plan will go into a grace period of 60 days. During which you can receive SMS and notification to recharge. After 60 days, you will continue to receive SMS, however all unused wallet credit will be forfeited.

So like to know just only their reminder sms only? Or same time extend to receive others' e.g. govt agencies' sms & incoming calls?

**Simba prepaid does continue to receive incoming calls & sms within grace period.

I have kept my phone with VoWiFi enabled. More than a month ago, I noticed my phone was switching to VoWiFi (from VoLTE) once I enable the WiFi. Then it suddenly stopped. Now, today, I saw it happening again where the phone switches to VoWiFi.

Please note that while the phone shows it is on VoWiFi, the calls doesn't goes through. In other words, the switch from VoLTE to VoWiFi was useless. I had to either switch of the WiFi or change my phone setting to disable "WiFi calling" for the calls to go through.

Did you experience this as well?

What happened to DV Tech, banned on Shopee!
Did they cheat customers? 😮
Did a topup last week but never check cos parents using the line, troublesome to get Eight login OTP from them.

wah, so surprising, I recently top up my kid's eight line (under my name) on last Saturday 12 plus, and managed to use the 200 coins voucher.

Anyway, was browsing for Simba topup today 12 plus and was thinking to top up the $5 wallet for my dad's line, then saw dvtech $5 wallet top up was selling at $5.30 (but can use 200 coins voucher). Not sure is it kena reported / banned due to this 30 cents diff.

Hmm... Shopee has this rule on Price Manipulation / Misleading Discount.
Cannot adjust price higher then set discount within a period of time.
Otherwise kenna penalty.

If many listings, then all the penalty pts will add up to a ban.

Hope Shopee really clamp down on such unethical practice. I used dvtech once to top up at $5.50 before as other shops don't accept cashback vouchers back then

Someone in the other thread mentioned that Eight cannot receive international SMS? Any Eight user here can confirm? Can’t find it in FAQ.

I was considering moving my main line to Eight, but receiving international SMS is a must for me. Means receiving SMS from any international number including banks and OTPs.

Thank you in advance.

This is what is written in FAQ…
  • Does roaming covers calls and SMS?
    • Our plans do include 288mins roaming calls back to Singapore and at the destination you roam at! For SMS, there will be no issues to receive OTP but our plans do not include outgoing SMS at the moment.

when we registered the acct online, we input our card details to auto debit... that 1 considered, right?
Is it so difficult to login to your account to check that the "Auto-Recharge" toggle under the "Billing" section is set to "on"?

Absolutely no issues for VoWiFi on Eight for me. I can make and receive calls on VoWiFi.

Probably your home router problem. You can verify this by enabling VoWiFi on another WiFi network and testing if you can make calls.

Is this telecom still on trial or now full blown? Any other limitation?
No longer on trial. There are no more free plans.

The main limitation is that Eight, while cheap, requires the user to have initiative, read the FAQ fully and carefully, use some brains, and know how to troubleshoot problems. There is no hotline.

Eight isn't for everyone.
