I think the E7N QLED is using a VA panel. The viewing angle is not as great as my previous IPS panel MI P1. Looking at it from the sides, the colour looks washed out.

Still figuring out how to play with the settings to get the best colour.

Not used to the Google TV interface though....Android was more straight forward and easier to customise the home page. There's just so much nonsense I can't remove or rearrange using Google TV.

Google TV is the future. Nowadays seldom TV manufacturer sell Android TV liao, at least for Prism.

If not used to Google TV suggest you go buy Android TV stick.

yeah, but just kinda disappointed that Google TV doesn't have as much customisation option as Android TV when it comes to customising the home page. Simple things like pushing the LIVE TV option to be on top also cannot do. The only thing it allows is to move the APPS in the App row left and right.
its kinda like taking 1 step forward 2 steps back.
the only other method without having to spend extra money is to use APP ONLY mode.

just had to reteach senior parents where to find the things they are used to click on on the previous Android TV.

Guess its a Google TV thingy. Found others who had same issue and hated it. Have to use a different launcher to customise it (Projectivity seems to be the recommended)
I don't have a Prime Account, and it is the first thing that Google TV put on top in the Home tab and I can't do anything to get rid of it (Uninstalling the app doesn't help).

these apps dont take up alot of space.
the apps that came with my google tv i did not uninstall. i had prime account and disney+ subscription for free from singtel for 1 yr i also never watch at all.
i only install mewatch, viu, crunchyroll, twitch and spotify on my google tv and hardly can notice a drop in storage.
mostly is on netflix, youtube, spotify and mewatch, the rest use like once in a blue moon.

Hi all,

I've been researching into TVs and Hisense u7k seems to have good reviews from multiple sources as a good value for money TV. However, the prices overseas and US is USD800 for the 65 inch, but in SG it's SGD$2999. That's almost a difference of SGD$1K.

Which is really weird because at $3k SGD, it no longer becomes a value for money TV. I feel that it is more logical for their pricing to be similar to TCL C745 (Perhaps slightly higher) at $1.6k to $1.8k range.

Anyone felt the same way through your research as well? Because there's only one distributor in SG, is this distributor artificially inflating the price to increase their margins?
Exactly, Hisense is so overpriced here vs the US

I was considering the U7N 75" but it's S$3999 vs US$1099 RSP (S$1.5k equivalent)

At that price point, I can consider a Sony X90L that now has a street price of S$3.2k - S$3.5k

philips still has 2 non-smart models, can consider for seniors, easier for them to use

unfortunately, only 32-inch and 43-inch

Need smart tv cos my mom plays her SNES games using SNEX9x app from the Playstore.
and my dad needs his RTMKLIM app to watch Malaysian programs.

If only my Nvidia Shield TV is still working, I would prefer to use that instead. Not gonna buy another one though.

Hi,

I received an msg from Hisense.

Actually can we change your TV to brand new Q6N 55"?
E7N and Q6N have the same specs but Q6N is the special Q version to signify QLED.

Recently i bought the new E7N on their shopee shop. Can advise if it is wise to change or stick to E7N?
