I changed my wife & daughter's line to EIGHT too, no downtime at all, and everything went smoothly.
I collected the SIM card myself. The next morning all good to go...

One thing, every time I need to login to EIGHT app, always need to input OTP, which is kind of troublesome.
bro, can port in using existing #? so what date you port over based on existing sub at other telco ah? tks

Eight's data speed seems to be quite bad? I only get 4G at most of the places I go to, hardly see 4G+ appear on my screen. I thought there was something wrong with my phone's settings until I was able to get 4G+ at around Vivo City.

It just means they have better equipment at one site and not all sites.
If this affected you badly, time to consider changing to another operator.

As an existing Eight user, of course I am happy to hear that.

I wonder how did they even get to earn profit from extending all these benefits while not increasing the price. Not that I am complaining though. :p
same as simba ... earn by subscriber base ,, data is cheap

yes, previously, I ported in from Singtel to SIMBA that was 4 months ago, then last week, I ported in from my SIMBA to EIGHT, as SIMBA doesn't refund whatever balance in your credit, make sure you have $0 balance and to maximize your dollar, only port out around 4 or 5 days before the expiry date, I signed up EIGHT online, and select pick up the SIM card.
Once you have picked up the SIM card, you can use it immediately, but still using EIGHT new numbers, then the next day it will change to your existing number. So far the signal is pretty good.

4G seems good enough for me, even with 4G, I can get the speed: download: 190mbps, upload: 33mbps.
Actually, even with 20mbps I have no complain :)

I am on Zym which uses Singtel network, very strong. Previously on SIMBA, cui until cannot.

This EIGHT caught my attention, but just read that it only has 4G.
One key aspect is I need Malaysia Data as I travel to MY alot.

Monthly paying $10 for Zym with 5G, 3GB MY roaming

Still thinking if should try EIGHT, but sacrifice 5G for 4G for just $2 lesser per month BUT 228GB can share SG/MY roam

Zym Mobile offers 5G on their $10.10 plan only for the first 90 days, and only for number port-ins. After 90 days you'll be on 4G LTE. You have to switch to Zym's $15.10 plan (or higher) to keep 5G.

To my knowledge SIMBA currently offers the lowest priced 5G plans in Singapore: as low as $10 per 30 days for the general public, as low as $5 per 30 days for seniors.

Some of the 4G plans in Singapore may roam onto 5G networks when outside Singapore, where available.
