Anyone port-in from Giga to Eight? I'm still being billed by Giga after my line has been successfully ported to Eight.

Giga keeps saying my line is active with them. Dam irritating.

Show them the proof the line has ported over to Eight.

When you port? Cause if it's close to the billing date then might have overlap. Check your renewal period.

Ported in to eight using mail delivery. Took 3 working days. And line ported from giga to Eight within 12hours. Both under starhub but why eight loads faster?
Agree on this. Eight loads faster.

Do check if your giga line on the app is still active. Mine was active on app though my number was already with Eight. Was charged again for the following month.

Very fast port in service. Sign up online on 4 march night. Today 5 march 2pm+ collect sim activation, 10pm+ porting done. Maybe because porting from starhub. Different but same. Now waiting for the $16 credit.
7 march morning receive sms informing free credit is credited. Checked and its there.

Hi, hope any eight mobile expert here can clear my doubts

1) I have a m1 number not registered under my name. I want to keep existing numbe.i can just simply ask the person who register the number to fill up the application to port over from M1 to Eight & and after porting process complete there is a change of ownership to my name as well?

2) I already have a phone number signed with double eight plan under my name. Can I sign up another number with the same plan under my name?

Why don't you and the other person perform the change of ownership with M1 first, before trying to port anywhere else? That should be much cleaner and simpler. Just go together to any M1 Shop with your NRICs and it should be done on the spot.

Yes, if you'd like.

Yup. I know of that. But if there is a shorter and quicker way that can done online isn"t it better

Eight doesn't do transfer of ownership. If you try to port in a number that doesn't belong to you, the port in will fail.
