Most plots are crap since they grab the plots from web novels.

Moi only watched those where the female leads look good and with natural acting.

it's a good start.

many jdramas also take plot from manga and light novels.

that's why they are interesting cos the story is different from the usual local dramas we have on tv which is about commoners' lives, bread and butter issues, govt initiatives and of course, the air con brand that everyone loves to hate.

acting lousy cos these are independent studios that have limited budget, somewhat like getting influencers to band together to act out a drama. but if the story is bought by big media companies who can spend more on budget and get good/popular actors, it's going to be better in overall production.

if only sg got such culture of using manga/light novel/web novel plots for shows it would probably be more interesting.

I think a lot are fresh graduates or small time/small town actors/actresses from those what 交通媒体大学 looking for their big break in some international drama/movie and not those local prefecture shiet productions.

Some end up getting defeated by life and either become 外卖小哥, or just end up 掉个金龟婿 some local 富二.
Some join the dark side, either become sugar boy, sugar girl or some hostess, etc.
Some maybe just disappeared completely, or ended their lives, etc

Its a big country after all. We are too used to small country living liao.
