Another classic case that opposition only cares about themselves, not Singaporeans.

Nobody is interested in Mountbatten, while we have 3-4 corner fights elsewhere. :s13:

I will support him. Maybe he can even get 30% leh. Or be the first independent candidate to win. The opponent ish who? Like not strong and not known also. :o

bro jeremy, we watched your nomination speech today. you made your presence felt, your speech was direct and punchy, the issues you have raised definitely resonated with us millennials and gen Zs. I am not a resident of Mountbatten but as a fellow Singaporean son, I wholeheartedly support you and hope you get into parliament.

ps. you were more satki than your PAP opponent today, so much for being a lawyer and stutter so much for a 1 min speech

Anyone got videos of the speeches given by both candidates for nomination day?

I am voting in Mountbatten. As much as I want to credit Jeremy for his willingness to step up, the reality is Singaporean voters are not like say, Taiwanese, who will support an independent candidate as they did for 柯P. For some, in fact, for many voters, the sight of the lighting symbol is enough to make them vote for it. Nevertheless, good try.

Remember this area is senior area . So it's understandable why no oppo wants to contest. Opposition target audience now is mostly 20s to 40s voters who are more willing to vote for them
