I have been a long time UOB one account holder and just kept $150k without touching it. Always removed the monthly interest when it comes in and leave 150k every month.

I plan to move out 150k out of UOB one. Got a question.

If i maintain my UOB account with $150k up to 1st May 12:01am and then empty it out to $0, will i still get the interest for April on the 2nd business day of May?

What will you keep the money after withdrawal? Found any better place to park the fund?

3% bonus for Stash lai liao :s12:
Yes- stash always first to give interest (of local big banks) . $242.87, and I transfer this amount out on same day (a simple way to allow next month interest crediting to remain intact and rather than this interest remaining and getting stuck in this account forever and then u need to call to appeal..).

What it says on UOB stash account:

“Monthly Average Balance refers to the summation of each day-end balance in the Stash Account for each calendar month divided by the number of calendar days for that month.

To check if you qualify for bonus interest, your MAB will be compared between 2 months. If the difference between your previous month’s MAB and your current month’s MAB is zero or higher, you’ll get bonus interest.”

So example:
1. Last month a deposit of $100k into stash account was made on the 1st of that month (1 April)
2. You get your interest of say $250 on 1st of this month (1st May)
3. You choose not to withdraw your interest on 1st May but say on 10 May.
4. The amount you can withdraw from stash on 10 May then is $250, since all your day end balance will still be greater or equal to the summation of daily balance/ no of days for that month (Apr).
5. However, this day end balance for May will now be slightly higher (because the daily balance for 1 May to 9 May is $100250) so the June interest to be withdrawn would have to adjusted to allow for these additional day end balances to the monthly average balance of May.

basically just put $100k and do nothing

Simplest way like I say is take out on same day that the interest comes in, save the calculation and checks

April 2025 was the final month before the new T&Cs kick in ....

Computed bonus interest for the first $150k principal amount (average daily balance) :

Till 30 April 2025,

28 days in the month = $454.52 (verified with February 2025 statement)
29 days in the month = $470.75 (not yet verified)
30 days in the month = $486.98 (verified with June, September, November 2024 statements)
31 days in the month = $503.21 (verified with May, July, August, October, December 2024, January, March 2025)

From 1st May 2025,

28 days in the month = $373.97 (not yet verified)
29 days in the month = $387.32 (not yet verified)
30 days in the month = $400.68 (not yet verified)
31 days in the month = $414.04 (not yet verified)

Disclaimer : actual amounts may differ by a few cents due to rounding off, pls refer to bank for eventual amounts .....

Would like to check if my understanding for UOB Stash is correct.

If 1st day of the month I top up to $100K exact.
Then next month interest come in on 1st day - eg $X, I will immediately transfer $X out on 1st day also.
By doing this way I will not increase MAB and still able to use the interest.

Is there any way to scheduled this method automatically?

Yes, do it on 1st day of month when interest comes in and MAB does not increase vs last month.
How to do it automatically when the interest amount varies from month to month (30/31 days and with the 28/29 feb month)?
In any case, I do have to tag salary into UOB one account and transfer out (among other accounts as well).
So 1st day of month is busy time to settle them…
