Their party members are quite likeable and they really help the community in that area. Also not controversial.

Fun fact : this is their best showing in the general election.

U still don't get it? Obviously, the voters don't want to rock the boat, they want stability. (or simply don;t care just default vote ***).
The cost of living, cockup, etc or whatever stuff were all there. But they still chose to vote for ***.
The ending will be the same, if they contest all areas, it will at most not lose badly than other oppositions.
Over the years, around 60 to 66% voted for ***. So ya, the 'swing' is at most that few %, neutral voters or situational voters... for WP/opposition

WP has only been able to field 20+ candidates per election so far, what makes you think WP will go nationwide for GE2030 if all of a sudden the other oppos disappear and PAP full force on WP?

We must not just support WP, but also give other opposition parties like PSP and SDP a chance to grow as political parties. We start by educating our loved ones that there are credible parties besides WP and PAP.

SDP and PSP can focus on other parts.

I highly doubt all seats will be contested by the 3 of them, elections are very costly.

Opposition parties lack a lot of resources.

Of course there will be no lack of mosquito parties contesting them because they know will get back deposits one in a simple contest. Maybe leftover seats RDU can contest.

SPP/SUP/NSP/PPP/PAR all can disband.

it's not about quality of candidates, singaporeans prefer stability.

WP had high quality candidates in Punggol and still lost and also other wards. sinkies prefer stability in this turbulent times espectially with the tariffs.

the ones making noise are minority.
