They have to..else global market will be likely zero adoption....integration with apps such as Google Auto etc all too entrenched unless a good alternative ecosystem is offered or quickly build up.

cannot..DSLR is out of my budget and too big to be portable..

i think go with the king of vintage compact camera... S90/95! the below so matching with the beatup Nokia...perfect pairing! 😅 miss those days of Canon Powershots!

I got sick and tired of chasing camera smart phones

Recently got panasonic lumix tz99 for all my point and shoot needs instead

Definitely not the best pns for sure but for the price of $654 I'm very happy and satisfied with it so far

I think chasing after good camera in phones is unfortunately never ending :(

But I'll admit for what it's worth, the xm15u is definitely the camera phone to beat in 2025 as far as purchasing a phone with local warranty is concerned

So guess what P&S I used for this to get the twxmm to pose for this pic?

P.s. there's alot of subtleties going on in this pic... 😅

I could never imagine myself saying this but that Xiaomi photographix kit is an eyesore, it is blocking strategic visual information!

On a side note I must go dig up my decades old canon ixus.

But but but I left the 'udder' ice cream there as inference...

I think I owned at least four or five ixus back then..even went after that metallic red one when it first came out .

used to have ixus 860is. still rmb how excited i was when i bought it with the money saved working part-time. first camera i owned.

don't have proper photo of the camera sadly, but do still have a number of photos i took with the camera back then. a lot of them are blurry, but some are still okay. :ROFLMAO:

TLR ? U might get a whole school of twmms asking u for autographs and line contacts.

I just ordered a Chuzhao Camera for my partner's daughter who likes to take random pics.

All my old canon pics are on some spindle hard drive backup. Same..save every penny to pickup a PowerShot and eventually afford a D30/50/60.

U remember that was the megapixel war? Every year new model...
