Before Covid 19 Pandemic JB property market was booming. When Covid 19 Pandemic came everything was like frozen. Now after Covid 19 Pandemic its picking up and going to boom again like before Covid 19 Pandemic.

Singapore did reclamation land in SG to expand its land size, foreign investment and development.

JB did the reclamation for foreign investment and development too. But why on reclamation land from the sea?

Just like Country Garden Danga Bay that is build on reclaimed land because reclaimed land from the sea is not considered as BUMIPUTRA LAND. There is a law for that reason.

"In Malaysia, reclaimed land is generally not automatically considered part of Bumiputera land law. While the government may classify reclaimed land as "development" under the Town and Country Planning Act, its status under Bumiputera land law (which includes Bumi Lots and Malay Reserved Lands) depends on specific regulations and policies in each state."

I remembered reading your postings about you staying in JB while your son was studying in an international school in JB many years before Covid 19 Pandemic. I think you son has graduated already and now working in SG because remembered reading your posting about it too.

I have seen the development in JB from old JB Checkpoint to the new JB Checkpoint CIQ. I have seen Lido Beach before it was reclaimed, then reclaimed for development and after Covid 19 I see JB is developing again like before Covid 19 Pandemic. And I have seen and experience PM of Malaysia administration changes from PM Mahathir to the current PM Anwar.

You have lived and experienced the life and lifestyle in JB/Malaysia. I don't have to say much because I know you like the lifestyle here too like I do too. Make the answer short its going to be like in the past when you lived in JB before Covid 19 Pandemic but it is going to be much more better.

Bro, I've bought a landed property here since 1992 and I'm still here.

yeah i love the pickleball scene there ... it's lively and vibrant.

not to mention after hitting pickleball or golf, can have a great supper outing with friends.

it offers a lot more than shopping, eating and massage.

probably it's because the rental there is not high and allows people to experiment and innovate, as well as pivot very quickly.

as a keen sports person, i can see myself going to JB often for pickleball. apparently KL pickleball clubs are top-notch and it's a huge community too.

Spore's problem is that with our ever-increasing population, booking sports facilities is really hard. have to ballot, log in at the right time to snatch for slots ... it's really stressful.

and fernvale has a badminton village but the charges are like $36/hour for weekend. go calculate and you will figure going JB is more worth it. you pay half the price there and the court has super huge running space. the pickleball courts there are pretty incredible in running space and the set-up is super professional.

sounds nice as long as pickleball is not in my backyard. hehe..
the noise pollution ... lol

Ya, probably will go offer with family to try pickleball ...
looking to pick it up .. for some exercise.

I have properties for rental and have been running in n out in managing them .
I won’t sell our jb properties…
It will b our kids refuge when the time comes and also their atm

Talking about staying in jb.
Reminded me of my 2 of my fondest jb neighbours.
One passed on after a year stay, and another had heart problem and returned to sg.
He should b in his late 80s and passed on already.
Missed the black pepper crabs he cooked in the feast for us.
Looked up to him as our dad and shared some food with him regularly:
His wife and daughter in law told us to stop contacting him cos he preferred us to his own kids.
I understand their concerns and had since left them alone since they returned to sg.
Missed this old man. Had short temper but he was endearing to us.
Hope he is happy where he is .
