All types and grades of stainless steel confirm do not contain lead. The lead is from the lead solder dot to seal the vacuum flask. The leaded seal dot is on the external at bottom of the flask. Usually painted or covered with a botton. There is no risk of lead poisoning drinking water contained in the flask though. Problem is when the paint scrapped or button fall off. Then have chance to come in contact with the leaded seal.

The following brands of vacuum flask had been tested with xrf (x-ray fluorescence) spectrometer to have leaded solder seal.

Borosilicate glass containers.
SS not suitable for storing acidic things especially in direct contact.
Can store coffee beans/powder in SS/BPA-free plastic containers but bag them i.e. store the items in bag and put the bag in the container. So no direct contact here

Only hydroflask vacuum flask from 2017 onwards and owala vacuum flask are tested lead free. Should be lead free solder from the xrf result.Wow like that mean anyone using thermal flask is have the risk of poisoning?

Some leaded seal vacuum flasks have stainless cap at the bottom. No risk of lead poisoning unless that bottom cap fall off.

High acidity foods and drinks only cause stainless steel to leach chromium and nickel. Those studies were made on cooking pot under long hours of high temperature cooking.

Hard to say there are so many no brand nor tested thermal flask sold in the market or online
Singapore only banned leaded petrol in the 90s. Older gen breathed in lead for decades still lived to old ages. Lead poisoning mostly affect mental development of children. But sinkies children before the leaded petrol ban already very high iq.
vacuum flask for hot water safe boh?
For home use table top one it's usually made of glass so it's safe.
For small handcarry type usually SS type so also safe
Wah wash every day then the stainless coating will thinner faster or not.
Then the shelve life shorten 50% very fast worh.

Some drinks like tea or coffee react with metal, so we may be consuming more than just the drink.
