Soup for $1.80
No one there wants to eat a second time after trying it

1 pax avg at least $7
Folks there are elderly and office workers, the queue clearly subside after the first round of trying

clearly it’s either too expensive, or simply not tasty enough to pay for such a price
Got too many cheaper option also ..

Most of the hawker trying their luck to sell high but mostly failed.

This man should do more fusion chicken rice to stand out the rest by adding truffles or mala and label as signature chicken rice.

Nowadays in SG, there are very good chicken rice stalls all over the heartlands.
I just ate dinner at one of them.
Very cheap too.

I had eaten at Sin Kee when it was in Margaret Drive, a long time ago.
Even back then, I considered it average.
Except for nostalgia, the stalls opened by the descendants of the original Sin Kee owner are average only.

And finally I want to repeat that in my opinion Tian Tian at Maxwell is one of the worst chicken rice.
Long queues due to hype and Internet sensationalizing.
The quality is very low.

Agree with Tian Tian being one of the worst.
Don't understand the hype at all.
I can bear with the cold chicken, but the sweet sauce all over ruined it.

Actually most of the chicken rice are around the same standard. I think those tourists overthink and wasted their time and money.

If other people can open one outlet after another with no issue, the problem lies with him.

Zen Tay already 3 outlets, 4th one coming up soon. Marketing is very important.

So, they they same, this one quite long ago liao, boss still same?

Think the bottom that corner fishball noodle and duck noodle quite nice. Was cheap and affordable.

Original boss (stall opened in 1971) is probably the grandpa of the current folks, each claiming to be Sin Kee.

Meaning now there are more than one such with different bosses?

Anyways vaguely remembered there are two fishball noodle stalls there. Just plain simple noodle and fishball. No other fancy ingredients. But popular cause cheap and affordable. Think was much cheaper than normal. Thus alot on budget and don't want eat too full one will eat. The duck noodle was also good. Know where they go to liao ah, or close shop for good?
