Yeap yeap transport no need.

@radzkal only need to unlock phone to make normal payment. Ex. Credit card terminal.
if you have a friend who resides in India or if u travel there often, u could actually get the official 13s there. And being india set if user encounter green line issue they will service it FOC lifetime, provided u bought from there and gotta bring it to their svc ctr there

Went to the oppo svc ctr at novena just now coz my USB port dun have data connection when connected to the PC. As I have experienced Oppo's service speed b4, with their less than 2 hour collection of changing n2 Flip's screen, was thinking how long would this take... And surprise, within half hour while eating my lunch at KFC after sending it in, the phone was ready for collection alr. Really impressed with Oppo and Oneplus's service center. Also, have confirmed with them is for OnePlus phones, only can send to the Novena svc ctr, not Westgate. Probably that's the only "bad" thing

Anyway, for those who have not been to Oppo's Novena service center, let me describe to you what their service center is like

The usual front counters that other service centers usually use for serving customers? That's their servicing desk with about 3-4 service technicians repairing the devices, IN FRONT OF YOU(but is most prob other ppl's device that they sent in before you haha). The receptionists come out in the waiting area to serve your number in your waiting seat. They said time of my send in was originally 3-5 working days. And then the go down for lunch after sending in and in 30mins the center smsed saying it's ready for collection.

any users of the OnePlus 13r? thinking of getting this for my parents. deciding between this, honor 400 or Reno 14

mum using m32, screen DIM AF.

dad using A52

impetus for me to upgrade their phone is cos we are travelling to Japan in dec and I'd like them to have a phone with eSim and a camera that is not a potato

haven't used the 13R but have used plenty of phones with SD8 Gen 3 and have used my fair share of OnePlus phones. if it were me, out of those 3, i'll pick 13R without a doubt, especially for like my parents who usually their phones for a long time.

1. Chipset. having a good chipset will help the phone remain nice to use for a longer period of time and SD8 Gen 3 is the best out of the 3 by far. Good optimisations can help, but having extra head room in terms of raw performance helps even more. like just in case apps become more demanding in the future, or when the phone gets filled with more data after a while.

2. Good track record with software. My mom's been using OnePlus 10R and it had been getting fairly regular updates over the years. Currently on the June 2025 security patch. Plus they performance didn't noticeably deteriorate when these updates, both small and large. Still feels as smooth and responsive now. Whereas my dad's Poco X4 GT with the same exact chipset as the 10R actually runs like crap on the latest HyperOS. laggy, slow, seems like with updates they introduced/turned on some of the ads settings that I've turned off before, etc. It runs like a phone that is like 2 years older than the OnePlus 10R even though they came out around the same time. But that said, this could just be a xiaomi thing. Can't comment on Honor or Reno though since not much experience with them.

BUT, if you care more about camera, my bet is that Reno 14 will fare better than the other 2 (only one with an actual telephoto camera too). While they all under same parent company, they usually try to maintain a seperation between OPPO and OnePlus by making sure OPPO phones of the same price/category will have better imagine processing than OnePlus. lol. But for a mid range phone I'm not sure if the difference will actually be that huge or not though. Pretty sure 13R won't be potato cam at least. 🤣
