Different router. The sim router is all in one.

My viewqwest modem is connected to a Xiaomi wifi router. Last time was ok one, then after the major downtime recently, become like that already. At night even worse, hover around 0.2-0.5mbps only, can't even watch YouTube smoothly.
you try your new router with the VQ connection.

xiaomi routers not known for their reliability.

and you should always diagnose which part of your network is causing issues before shooting down the ISP.

For eight, purchase from one of their retailers or sign up online?
Can we collect the SIM card on the spot from the retailer?

It's ok. I most likely will be going the sim router route, more flexible and cheaper.

I mean, your VQ connection is still active what :s22:

or are you just wanting to bash VQ
Yes active but very slow especially at night. No reason to bash vq. I used to support them a lot but their reliability nowadays is atrocious.

simple for you to diagnose the issue if you use your new router.

Recently got issues with VQ .. like DHCP addressed to users all messed up, sometimes different fixed IP allocated randomly, fixed IP but get IP address conflict errors, etc. Quite random actually - bread and butter items you'd believe ISP hardware to handle.
yep recently a lot of issues, but TS' issue is not the same. he's getting 10 megabits down. but he also did not test direct connection to modem or try another router

Haha, I think he sibei sian from the issues since mid April - early May.

Okay la, as long as got new working internet and no cap - should be happy
a bit extreme to spring for a $300 Wifi 6 LTE router only to use a fraction of its potential...

and also while having a (probably) perfectly fine existing connection

but to each his own I guess 🤷‍♂️
