Actually there is a chance that he can sub 2:20 if conditions are right. 2:30 shd not be an issue.
Also in Jeans of coz. But for this HM he did not put on his big headphones.

Seems like you wear PB5.0 alot. I also have a PB 5.0 I would say it feels very light and feels like running on air.
Not really a lot la. Just that it's my first pair of shoes I got when I resumed running this year.

PB 5.0 mainly used for intervals, threshold and progressive long run.

Did another run this early morning around the Lake. This morning the temperature is so cooling for the run.

this evening had my first run in this shoes. First I felt was it's bouncy. While running, I felt it deformed or compress a lot. I think what most of you call soft? Not really to my liking as there might by some stability issue when the mid sole depressed unevenly. Need to acclimatize if I were to use this for long runs like >21km.

The ride, a slight rocker geometry which is enough to give the push for a enjoyable tempo run for me it's 5:30 to 6 min/km. But mostly for this run, I did 6:10 min/km, and shoe was also great. It's quite versatile in this manner. The only concern for my is just the stability due to the soft cushion.

Also I find the cushion is thick, close to max cushion shoes without the weight and plush padding. Suitable for long runs, if the stability is not an issue for you.

yes, i also noticed the stability issue when i walked around, it amplifies my tendencies to tilt outwards on my heels. Changing to a thinner and firmer insoles did help marginally as an initial impression, but unsure how it translate during actual run. Perhaps a heel guide can be added to the shoe to address this issue.
Neither do i like the slow and significantly deep compression before returning to original. From theoretic point of view, this feels like a loss in momentum, especially it led to stability issue (wobbling on the heel part). As for walking, this could make one feel cushy and nice though. Like you said, if one does not have stability issue, this may be one's cup of tea.
Am going to with another thinner and hopefully firmer insole to compare before deciding if i want to keep this.

Thanks for the recommendations. Will do a search for them on TB. When i see lu bu i thought is 呂布 so i tried searching for Anta 呂布 and got nothing lol.
i guess they are playing with words to get the attention of the targeted group (males). The term 旅步 is very appropriate as it means travel+walk and has the same pronunciation of the ROTK character吕布 who has been romanticised as the no.1 fighter.

I using Strava to track my shoes.

But Garmin and Coros should have all these functions as well.
coros user here but coros app is quite troublesome as one needs to key in the brand model etc. I use joyrun app link w coros, which has a huge pictorial database on running shoes in their various respective colors to select.

PB 10km with XTEP 5.0 pro today. Very easy run as HR mostly not in zone 4-5

From now on, with this shoe, can just run 10km casually.

I used vaporfly and alphafly before. Very easy tear. So if this shoe can last as what people said, I will not buy Nike anymore

i don't have pb5. If i am to use pb3 as a reference, I have no problem doing long runs. But for my weight, running on pb3 at 7min/km pace or slower isn't enjoyable. The midsole feels great at faster paces, in my cases around 6min/km or faster. One needs the fundamental strength to sustain such pace for long duration.
Do note pb3 is not a cushy ride, it actually encourages one to run faster. Personally i think it suits HM runs very well.
this is just my opinion tho.
if you are looking for a slow easy LSD run, maybe there are better options.

I wonder how you guys walk with the rocker geometry and high stack. Everytime I walked to my starting point is not a thing I can get used to. But then I only wear them once or twice a week for the higher intensity workouts. Most time it's the non plated shoes.
u gota jog to the start point, then u will feel comfortable

The NB5 was a great shoe for the first couple hundred of KMs. Like you said, great for easy runs or slower pace where you just coast along. But not sure if hyperbole or what but somewhere down the line the shoe just felt totally different. The foam no longer has the "pop" and i find myself having to put in alot more effort during long runs. Did a read up online and it seems like a common sentiment among other NB5 users.

Was considering replacing the NB5 with SB2 since i am currently only have a 2 shoe rotation. But with my experience on the NB5, think i am better off going for more value for money china brands.

I also have the NB5 n SB2 and yes I also find the cushioning in the NB5 is good, I would said it's just nice and the mid sole cushioning is good whereas the SB2 is not much cushioning but it's gave you the pushing forward motion especially if you're running higher pace.

Like the Vaporfly next%2 which I had stability issue when I first did a long run in it. But I like the shoes too much to give it up and slowly acclimatized my feet in it that I ran one FM, and 10km race in it plus a few >25km long runs without any ankle issue after acclimatized.
Same goes with this Qiaodan 强风3TR, I am going to acclimatize my feet in it. As it's a versatile shoes that does tempo, slow run well, and it's thick cushion will be applicable for long runs too. This shoes does anything as long as stability isn't an issue.

good point of view to tweak one's running habit, eg. more forefoot than rear foot, to use the shoe more effectively.
Putting the NB rebel v4 insole into the 强风TR3, the thinner insole (approx2.5mm thk) does help to shoe to feel less unstable.
