Possibly still a better buy than Poco F7, which is the most recent release. F7 has a better chipset, same set of cameras with a slightly better wide angle, UFS4.1 (as compared to UFS4.0) and metal frame (as opposed to plastic) at $495.
The difference is actually just about $100 for the 512 gb version. X7 Pro 512gb is around $380 and F7 512 gb is around $480.

Personally I will recommend to go for Poco X7 Pro and not Poco F7 Pro, if you are not into gaming.

Bought the Poco X7 Pro 12GB/512GB (to replace my aging Poco X4 GT) at S$367.90 from Poco Official Global Store in Shopee earlier.

Got two Poco X6 Pro previously for my daughter and my wife.

Yeah, it all depends on your needs. You can even get the Poco X7 (non Pro) at around $250.

$100 extra on top of $380 is about 26%. So one has to judge on the value of the differences of the 2 phones I pointed out earlier.

Objectively, while X7 is a good phone for the price, X7 Pro will seem a overall better package: Gorilla Glass 7i, UFS4.0, HyperOS 2.0, Android 15, 90W charging, 6000mAh etc. So not only hardware upgrades but also software upgrades.

very keen to consider this for my next phone, but is it possible to totally remove all ads and uninstall pre-loaded app on HyperOS?

Same variant
Poco Official Store $419 ships from SG
Poco Official Store Global $349 ships from China

POCO Official Store Global:
X7 Pro 12+256 is 409 <- is there additional $10 voucher i missing?
409 - 20 shop - 60 shopee = 349

POCO Official Store
X7 Pro 12+256 is 489
489 - 10 - 60 = 419

Get from the poco official store global.

$20 store voucher, $60 shopee voucher. Final price will be $349 before coins.
But probably wait for 7.7 sale. Might be cheaper and it's just about a week more.

Yes both X7 Pro and F7 are not eSIM-compatible.

Of course by all means, try your best to get the most discounted price you can get. However, if you need a phone for use now, $349 for the 8GB/256 variant is still very good price.
