Nobody import in OnePlus 13s Indian version? Not much talk on this phone, same goes to 13T.

If buy China 13T, still can re-flash to India ROM 13s for Oxygen OS? I don’t think there is a global ROM as 13s only sold in India while 13T only sold in China.

i think it's just that it's not that worth importing? ₹54,999 there right? which is around 820SGD. This is provided you know someone who can buy and bring back for you at RRP. If through 3rd party price might go up? CN set I've seen around 200 less on shopee during sales. Also, local OP13 i think during sales is like 950 give or take a bit? So unless you die die want smaller phone... really not that worth it considering hardware wise, the OP13S isn't even as good as the 13.

Also, possible to flash to global OxygenOS, BUT, like other recent CN OnePlus phones, will have issues. Namely cannot OTA, if not will break signal and camera. So if want update, etc, need to be rooted? or have to reflash every time there's a new update? can read up here if keen. https://xdaforums.com/t/rom-pkx110-oxygenos-convert-oneplus-13t-to-13s.4743853/

This is something OnePlus has been doing for a while now for all their phones by the way. IIRC OP13 CN set also like that?

they have been trying to implement measures to prevent CN-global for a while now, but all the while till 8T its just copying the zip file to flash in the official recovery mode, then 9 series they made it abit more difficult but still doable without unlocking bootloader iirc, then 10 series they implement the need to unlock bootloader method, and then 11 onwards they implement the region lock, but still doable using 10's method, then 12 is the last one thats still able to unlock the phone, use global rom and OTA and wallet etc once u lock the bootloader back. but 13 onwards they implemented wat Alexz said about modem/signal and camera encryption/break.

13R June update is out
Huge ups to OnePlus/oppo for porting reduce white point back to older devices. One complaint I had with the usual "Extra dim" is that it'll be reflected in screen recordings and screenshots too. When using S25 I had to have extra dim on all the time to keep the screen at a comfortable level for my eyes. But then when I take screenshot or record footage while gaming or something, need to rmb to turn off first so they won't look too dim. And I always forget. Lol. Reduce white point is nice in the sense that it doesn't show up in screenshots or screen recordings (like on iOS), so can pretty much have it turned on all the time for those with sensitive eyes. It's kind of a niche feature that most probably won't care about, but its something that I find really really useful. Hope more android brands will implement this too.

I have sensitive eyes also but use darker app instead for me to use my s23 ultra. Extra dim option doesn't work for my eyes though

it really varies from person to person ba. Some if more sensitive to bright light, some is PWM, some might be other factors like blue light, etc. In my case i'm okay with the 480Hz PWM dimming at higher brightness, but at lower brightness it starts causing noticeable eyestrain. not sure what they call it, but basically when using high shutter speed camera to look at the screen, the black bars become thicker. i think it's the pixels being turned off for longer period of time. for S25 past a certain point the display itself stops actually dimming and instead the black bars becomes thicker (pixels stays off longer) to create the impression that brightness is lower. Unfortunately for me, when using the phone indoors, the brightness I like to use the phone at is in that zone where the black bars are thicker, which strains my eyes. So by using extra dim, I can keep the brightness level at a higher level where the black bars are not thicker, then extra dim applies a screen overlay that "dims" the brightness of the display. :flash: but it's a huge hassle for sure due to the issues mentioned about the screenshot/screen recordings. not to mention will have to turn off auto-brightness to be in full control which is annoying too. end up gave up on the phone before long. lol.

Just nice when i was in china when i saw the XDA post on the conversion, wasted no effort to just yolo buy it and flash it. Running pretty well like a native 13S. Cost me about 630 SGD for the 16GB 512GB variant.

Two important points to consider before buying:
  1. You won’t be able to receive OTA updates if you re-lock your bootloader and remain non-rooted after flashing to OxygenOS. However, you do have the option to update if the developer uploads a new version of OxygenOS—but you will have to wipe all your data.
  2. Alternatively, you can leave the bootloader unlocked and keep root access. In this case, you will be able to receive OTA updates from the developer and your data will be retained.
I decided to go with option 1, as I don’t update my phone that often (unless there’s a major Android version change) and I prefer to have my bootloader locked.

Add on to point 2:

Some banking apps detects the presence of Magisk.

If want to keep your phone rooted, KernelSU is highly recommended. This is the most unintrusive way to keep your root access if you want to keep your banking apps or digital payment apps usable.

The 2 are not exactly the same IMO.
