think this wed, sg price will out liao... I suspect is 2199.
but sad shopee no sales this period until 8.8.
I PO zf7 cuz of its vouchers.
Should be same launch price of $1999. Payday voucher next week should bring it down to 1.7-1.8k like that, wait 8-8 lo probably better offers. Pre-order this week your unit also come around end July early August. Ah beng shops say next month Fold 7 should drop to 1.7-1.8k liao.

China set has 256gb/1TB option, global/local likely will only have 512gb variant. Since they got two SC now hopefully offering 2 year warranty like Oppo and still one year screen crack warranty bah.

Relocation only ah? Hahaha,ok nvm then probably won't offer two years warranty le.
I just go and google. China set also provide 1 years warranty, so unlikely global set will provide 2 yrs. Below is what I found (translated):

Detailed description: Warranty for the whole device: The warranty period for the whole device (host) of Honor Magic V5 is one year. Accidental screen damage: During the warranty period, if the screen is accidentally damaged, you can enjoy a low-cost repair service. Battery warranty: Within two years, if the battery capacity is less than 80%, you can replace the original battery once for free. Warranty start date: The warranty period of Honor mobile phones is usually calculated from the date of issuance of the purchase invoice. Invoice loss: If the invoice or warranty card is lost and no valid evidence can be provided, the warranty start date will be postponed by 90 days from the date of manufacture. Official service hotline: If you have any questions, you can call Honor official service hotline 95030 Honor official website.

There are a few areas this v5 lose out to Samsung Z Fold 7

1) It's SD 8 Elite processor speed is slower than Samsung's proprietary SD 8 Elite processor
2) It's audio chip is only 24-bit/192kHz. Samsung is 32-bit/384kHz
3) No 8K@30fps video
4) I prefer Samsung's sharper edge corners than v5's rounded corners
5) Samsung's UI is more polished
6) Warranty 1 yr vs 2 yrs by Samsung. TBC
7) v5 does not support UWB

1) slow ? how slow?
2) unless you audiophile, best audio chip ...audiophile go for fruit phone leh.
3) honor has this https://www.honor.com/global/privacy/security/#:~:text=The system partition is read,Learn more
4) quoted from website
Samsung leads in raw megapixel count with its impressive 200MP main sensor. 12MP ultra-wide and 10MP telephoto sensors support 8K video recording for content creators. Honor Magic V5 takes a different approach with balanced versatility: 50MP wide, 64MP 3x periscope telephoto, and 50MP ultra-wide cameras deliver excellent results across varied shooting scenarios.

Selfie performance favors Honor with sharper 20MP front-facing cameras on both cover and inner displays. Social media creators will appreciate Honor's crisper 4K video capture capabilities.
5) that's personal preference ...some love rounded edge..won't poke into meat after long usage.
6) Honor haven't release any statement for local launch. wait for 16 July.

A few things to note
1. Samsung throttles the processor by 40+% under heavy loads + worse heat dissipation. Paper speed doesn't matter because Samsung won't even reach that max speed as claimed in real world usage
2. Honor has S1 security chip as well, which one is more secure this one I dunno liao.
3. How often will you shoot 8k 30fps?
4. You haven't even seen a real life V5 demo set, let me know again if this is true/practical once you use the sharp edge Fold 7 for a long period of time lol
5. For Samsung, any human caused flaw in exterior condition as perceived by the SC will likely void any warranty claims and charge you hefty repair sum - speaking from an ex Samsung user myself and many other cases from friends, family and reddit. Honor even tho slow response time, so far I think they honor their warranty coverage pretty well.
