I was searching Maribank Facebook for something and shocked to see so many complains about their funds being locked up. Some even for weeks! 1 says he paynow to his own NRIC also ganna. Not sure what happen to these ppl now. Anyone encountered the same here. The amount of complain there and the lack of assurance from Mari staff at that site really dampen the confidence of new customers wishing to sign up. Hope the experience is different here from a bunch of seasoned users..

Only thing ok to borrow is from HDB for housing loan.
And for times when low interest is offered by lenders so we can borrow to put into FD for higher interest and arbitrage in between. Those opportunities are rare though.

Loan is not bad. It depends on how one sees it or uses it.

Can always play the yields spread from borrowing rates and central bank rates.

Issit? I thought they are local transfer especially the one talking about paynow to own NRIC.

Customer service personally i find their cs is only a front. Many a times they can't get the things to move especially back end has the full control. And the disturbing part is we can't get to the backend except through the hotline who only knows how to parrot the same replies after they vet through the tnc.
Sad to say my experience with them is so so. I need to call various times talk to different cs try my luck to keep pushing.

You read the one whose wife need to go through the trouble to get ICA to update her IC (need to pay $100)? And wait for weeks or so. Just so she can get through the face verification for her account to be released. If i remember correctly.

How much was the paynow amount?

Write in they may say cannot verify acct. Call in is only for general enquiries. In depth problems better use chat and get them to escalate to the relevant dept.

The thing is. As a bank, how can only rely on Singpass face verification alone to decide whether to lock your acc for life? Isn't that strange? I can only hope my face stays the same. Forever.
