curious as to why the model and storage variety does not tally with Google Store and other retailing points :|

Edit: for example no 512GB Moonstone on the Google Store (you would think they would have the exclusives)

Generally, I think that there are two routes.

1. If you have existing Google store credits, buy from Google to enjoy the $100 off and offset against credits. You will earn credits for Pixel 11 purchase. 256GB Pro XL is $1040 after these discounts/rebate.

2. If you do not have existing Google store credits nor do you want to remain with Pixel next year, find the lowest possible deal online. Traditionally Singtel seem to give good promos on online platforms.
