Without visiting a store to get it physically checked? - 60 days
Visiting a store? - 365 days

Just asked 2 staffs in Apple Orchard.

Apple care+ can be purchase within your iPhone warranty period.

60 days via phone.
After 60 days is physical Apple Store because they need to do inspection.

So all along Apple care+ can be purchase within 365 days.

Actually i think it depend. In good condition should pass. They got write down your condition on all areas during inspection.

Hmmm.... always want to try 364 days to buy, but this kind depends on the staff attending to you too.
Moreover, I use naked so I guess will stick to 60 days purchase as usual.

Best to seek Apple Support for advice, I usually make sure it's settled before selling just to be safe.
