You can do that, but you really should wait until you're very near the end of your current 30 day cycle. When you switch to a new, more expensive tier level you lose whatever number of days/hours you had remaining in your current cycle. (When you switch to a less expensive tier, that change will be effective at the end of your current 30 day cycle.)
