super gimmick. With such high data bundles, the roll-over data isn't attractive. Now giga 5G plans is on a high side, with much lesser roaming benefits than eight. Now eight looks more attractive than giga if you factor in 5G. I wonder what is next for giga, how will starhub position giga, plus in consideration threat from Simba M1 merger. I rather they merge both sub-brands and better compete with maxx, and singtel minions.

Not bad, just purchased the 14.80 plan and immediately got 5G.

Maybe they issued 5G SA capable sim card and then limited it to 4G for future proofing? Lol

It all depends on the telco. Some telcos require sim change because they restrict new-G to some new sim ID prefixes.

I had used a big sim card (aka mini sim) during the 2G-era, it worked fine for 3G and when 4G arrived, it worked too.

subscribe 5G, turn off 5G on phone and leave it on 4G until need to use the phone. Battery saved,
