Just a 程序。Hope the public opinions will stop the merger. If the authority needs public opinions, it means they are not sure whether it is good to approve the merger...
I meant the Eight staff or Eight FB admin who replied that they'd no plans for 5G in August(?).Me me! Changed to 5G because only $3 more per month. $3 can't even get a decent meal nowadays.![]()
Only iPhone 12 series and later support 5G.What's the story with iPhone 12 ?
I have seen mention that it is not compatible with 5G SA but from iPhone specs 5G SA is there.
Well not in SG at least for this modelI meant the Eight staff or Eight FB admin who replied that they'd no plans for 5G in August(?).
Only iPhone 12 series and later support 5G.
My 12 Pro Max is a Hong Kong dual SIM version, and it supports 5G. Same for my 13PM.Well not in SG at least for this model
I treat anything generated by AI as garbage until they have been vetted by a real humanChatgpt:
Yes — iPhones in the iPhone 12 line do support 5G.
However, there is a caveat: models sold in Singapore (and generally outside the U.S.) only support the sub-6 GHz 5G bands (not the mmWave bands).
So in practice:
If you like, I can check whether your specific carrier in Singapore supports the 5G bands used by iPhone 12. Do you want me to check that?
- You’ll be able to use 5G with a Singapore carrier that has 5G coverage
- You might not get the ultra-high speeds available via mmWave (if that’s offered in your area)
- Your 5G experience will depend on the carrier’s 5G deployment (which bands they use)
As you mentioned Simba 5G network not up to the mark. Unless they use M1 resources or spend money upgrading their own network.NSA or SA no big issue. WIdth of the spectrum is the issue.
Like Singtel, using 100MHz spectrum. Running both NSA (for ZYM, vivifi) and SA, speed all very fast, can reach 1Gbps.
But SIMBA, only has 10MHz spectrum. No matter NSA or SA, speed confirm lower than the other 3.
Don't think SIMBA can access SH-M1's 5G 100MHz network, that considered pre-marriage property right?![]()
This one standard SOP reply till it's announced by marketing mah.So the one/s who replied that they'd no plan for 5G... Still there?![]()
Oh, not like Maxx, akan datang until finally sudah datang. This one standard SOP reply till it's announced by marketing mah.![]()
Presumably it’s just a question of competition and costs. With Eight, China and Hong Kong are “Group A” roaming countries, so there‘s an included allotment with every plan (including VoLTE support in mainland China). SIMBA includes more data in those places, but SIMBA also starts at $10 instead of $8 (except for age 60+) and has a generally weaker network in Singapore. (SIMBA pioneered generous included international roaming precisely because it started with a weaker local network. Their network has improved, and it’s quite decent now. But it’s still generally regarded as the weakest.) M1 Maxx treats China and Hong Kong similarly, but Maxx offers less international roaming overall (many fewer destinations) and doesn’t have a $5 senior plan.when will Eight include China and HK part of the their apac roaming man.....

I have seen it creating totally nonsensical relation that any human would not have done.
For some reason, Singtel/Starhub/M1 all do not list iPhone 12 as supporting 5G SA, and I wonder why :

Apple's does mention iPhone 12 supports 5G standalone with a caveat :
With iPhone 12 models, Low Power Mode disables 5G Standalone (where available).

The scary part is more than one time, I found AI listing a source that did not say what the AI did.I checked the source it quoted. It is from Apple sg support website. I also try to verify before i post. This is the singapore apple website: https://support.apple.com/en-sg/111876?utm_source=chatgpt.com
iPhone 12 models were perfectly capable of doing 5G SA.I treat anything generated by AI as garbage until they have been vetted by a real human

Er... i wonder which network will even give people org*sms at all, no matter how you use your device. It's someone's field observation this past July. But why would it be surprising if SIMBA lit up a bit of 5G SA? Mobile carriers frequently run trials and tests. And they occasionally make mistakes.
...And do many people care? "5G SA" on a phone display doesn't give most people org*sms.
Today went to R&F again.Anybody went to JB recently?
My phone can hardly connect at R&F mall, tried to manually connect to other telco also cannot.
I walked back to JB Sentral, more than halfway back then I could see 4G.
