MyRepublic keeps putting out in-app only plans which cost less and have the same/more data, but they only seem to be available to users on specific plans. Will test the new and even cheaper 5G Prime Plan next month for $12.95/month.

I presume you rooted your realme phone? Which app are you using to test?

Off topic: Are you able to see 5G Standard Plan from your app?

That explains why the service was quite bad lately when I was back in MyRepublic.

StarHub uses non-standard QCI values on their network, so QCI 140 is actually one of the lowest I've seen on StarHub. However, since the priority of different QCI tiers can be customised by the carrier, I don't think anyone other than StarHub themselves knows which order their custom QCI values (140, 150, 170) are in terms of priority. From what I've seen the QCI values also change depending on if you're connected to 4G or 5G, as the QCI for MyRepublic SIMs on 4G appears to be 150, while it is 140 on 5G.

I wish somebody could check the QCI for MyRepublic's Basic plans, which I'm subscribed to.

In my app, I don't see the Essential, Flexi or Prime plans, but I have the option to change to the Standard plans.

The Standard plans come with more data/minutes and also more roaming destinations, but yet cost less than the Basic plans.

There must be a catch, right? Surely MR won't offer plans with more of everything at a cheaper price. So I'm wondering whether the QCI priority might be the difference.

I must say I'm pretty satisfied on the Basic 5G plan. Everything seems to load quickly and smoothly, even when on the crowded MRT, which is why I'm afraid to change to a cheaper plan that seems to be a better deal. But will it give me a poorer performance?

Gomo still seems to connect using hicard even with APN forced to e-ideas, at least based off the Network Signal Guru app, I also have a ZYM SIM which shows up as using e-ideas in the app, so I don't think it's just a bug.

Updated with some new plans I've gotten to test and the AMBR (speed cap) values which I have gotten from Network Signal Guru. Format is Download/Upload in Mbps, and numbers differ between 4G and 5G for most plans. Keep in mind the limit is unlikely to affect true performance, as most are well above what our networks are capable of. The only ones that may present limits in speedtests are GOMO's 1000/150, ZYM's 2000/100 and SIMBA's 204/204, as each network is theoretically capable of higher downloads for GOMO and SIMBA, and higher uploads for ZYM.
