From since June, SP AC is now 70+ cents a kWh, my last recorded charging recently was $0.741/kWh

The DC rate is probably 80+ cents a kWh.

Other providers could be cheaper, not sure.

( For comparison SP home grid power is 30.03 cents/kWh after GST )

Next time when EV is much more commonplace, I foresee we will have new arguments like SP power has EMI and RFI noise attenuation and clean power for longer battery life or SP electricity somehow can get better mileage.

But I think mainly because Singaporeans are rich.

Need to ask Big Brother..

This is one reason but they also need to cool the charger right ? So it's a value added feature ?

I was joking on those EMI EMF and clean power :s13:

With all the added new regulations and compliance for public chargers, I am sure the costs will be passed down to end consumers using chargers.

Best is have own charger and draw from grid power pricing.

You have to price in rental cost of the space and land which is going up.

if you think about it 1 car charging 8 hours. 1 day only 3 cars charge. Revenue only $100 for 1 day

No issue one la. Stop thinking abt needing to stay at charging station for 1hr. If i think this way i also sian. This is the misconception of most non ev driver.

It's not an issue, it's the hassle to move it out from charging to lot when done. Additional effort. This is not a misconception, it is a true thing. Unless the car can drive itself to the lot.

This is only for DC fast charging. If AC charging, mostly no need to move as your car won't reach full charge even when you're ready to leave.

same for CNG in the past.

the top up was worth it during the initial stage.

subsequently it makes no sense to top up because the price is almost similar with petrol price + u are carrying almost + 80kg tank everywhere u go.
