Me. Paying $6.50, using tplink x20 4g+

Need to place the router near the windows then can get >100mbps, at night will drop to <50mbps.

I think x10 4g+ good enough. $80+ can get already

Thanks bros. Does your recommendation work for plugging into a consumer router like the Asus BQ16 mesh router?

Anyone using CL 1TB 4G plan with a good 4G router to recommend? Thinking to connect this to my current fibre router as backup.
I use tp-link deco X50-5G with CL 1TB 4G plan. Although I have another tp-link MR600 4G router standing by.
Previously I divided the house network into 2, but now with 1TB plan, I can combined them into 1.
I revert to 4G since it's good enough. 5G was not really needed.

Totally depends on the capability of the router, would at least require an usb port to use a phone/tablet.
If you have a spare phone or tablet you can try plug it in and test.
Android fairs better in this as they can set maximum charge to 80-95%

If using broadband router think you would need to place the broadband router in front of the current router on the WAN port, for a backup I am not sure how that can be done unless the router has dual WAN port.

Edit : Wow, you call that a consumer router ?
your router do have dual WAN port, you can use broadband router in front.
It also has 4G / 5G Auto Mobile Tethering, so you can also use a spare phone/tablet (or your own phone in an pinch) : https://www.asus.com/support/faq/1050074/

It's very flexible solution.
I plug an old AX1500 router (previously used for fibre bb) via ethernet, into the SIM router and run it to another room for another wifi 6 network.

Thanks bro. Will try out. It’s a new router that i got to replace my old wifi 5 router long overdue for replacement.
What would you call the router as? Prosumer? Still discovering its new capabilities each day.

Is the Circle Life 4G speed good?
Depends on what you use it for and where you use it. Generally ok for most places. If say places with good coverage, no issue hitting dl 100mbps and ul 30mbps. If poor coverage location maybe spin around in circles. If you want best speed. Get 5G plan for $9.90/month.

Haha, Asus ZenWiFi BQ16 is still a consumer router, one of the top-end quad-band consumer WiFi 7 router available in Singapore now (below Asus ROG GT-BE98).

May I check how do you get 5G plan for $9.90? I can only find 400GB of 5G for $12 on its website. Thanks!

Just wondering, what's the benefit of signing up with CL at $9.90, if maxx at $10 is just $0.10 more, and has better roaming data bundled in.

Only thing i can think of is calendar month billing vs 30 days & maybe transfer of ownership.
