Seems like SA is turned on.. managed to connect on to n78

I think you may want to use a better app like NetMonitor. The above does not seem to say you are connecting to the SA network, rather it is saying the network is capable of SA and NSA.

that app is not available on iPhone, guess there is no way to tell definitively if its connected to SA on iPhones then

For iPhone --> I checked the following and it works.
  1. Open the Phone app.
  2. Dial *3001#12345#* and press the call button.
  3. The Field Test dashboard will appear.
  4. Navigate to Serving Cell Info or Capabilities.
  5. Look for "SA" next to connection_type or Capabilities to confirm you are on 5G SA.

For those who are interested.
BTW, for more technical-inclined users, I have also created a thread about using apps to check out mobile network performance. You can take a look if interested.

Often signal quality and latency may be more important than raw speed. BTW, I tend to think you do not need to be too much worried about latency during stress test (eg: OOkla SpeedTest download/upload tests) for most of the users -- idle latency may be a good indicator.

I am not sure how they calculate the free months and from when, must it be full month of payment. The past few months, there were 2 promos, free 6 and 9 months, which depend on which telco you port in from.

So I got the Free 9-month subscription with payment of 3 months. I just paid for my so-called "3rd month".

One pay $15 upfront to cover the next billing cycle, second the pro-rated charges (say from mid-month) will be on the second bill. I just received my 3rd month bill and deducted another $15. Now my question to them is, is this considered 3 months liao? Since I have already paid 2 months of full payment ($15x2), and half a month of pro-rated bill.

I shall see again next month and then enjoy my next 9 months of $0/mth

Enjoy your 9 months with soon to be 5G SA. I hope 5G SA is ready for everyone to chiong in and not hang there like buying concert tickets.

Sharing some of field speed test done just now.

Not quite impressed with Zero1 Singtel 5G NSA. The NSA speeds are getting slower as months pass by. Zym and Zero1 are same 5G NSA. However, in recent months, i noticed Singtel's 5G NSA speeds are getting slower and slower. Last time (half a year ago), I was able to get 1gbps download speeds.

Since, the announcement of 5G+ coming to ST MVNO's, the speeds came down a lot. But i hope, when 5G SA turns on for ST MVNO, it will improve. Some places, latency very high, loading of webpages very slow. On MRT, sometimes a website take very long to load.

Maxx 5G SA still wins in latency and peak speeds. So far, i haven't got any download speeds of over 1gbps

Haha, I have lowered my expectations significantly after experiencing Eight 4G and SingTel 4G, as well as some weak signal results for SingTel 5G and M1 Maxx 5G (not yet tried M1 Maxx 4G).

Now:
100 Mbps excellent
50 Mbps, very good
10 Mbps, good
5 Mbps, not too bad
1 Mbps, still acceptable, lag a bit, can load already okay
0.2 Mbps, ah, that is a problem ...
No signal, ah, that is bad

My previous expectations for 5G may be five times the above and I was thinking 10 Mbps was the minimum requirements...
