Not bad

for me sub 4min pace is definitely forefoot strike.
tried the spike at home (with the spikes removed of course). not much diff under foot to the racing flats that I am used to.
ya.. going to ramp up distance slowly.. 800m repeats tomorrow.. hopefully can complete 8-10xOh then shd be fine if you already have flats experience and already forefoot striking even any wee bit......conditioning already there over the years even without much S&C.
Just slowly ramp up the distance on these new spikes shd be fine.
Issue is more of those really true distance/endurance runners esp for those favouring more towards heel striking (nothing wrong) and then changing to this kinda stuff.

hope to run the full 10k in these sometime in the near future![]()
Get well soon and come back stronger.Unfortunately today 1am plus fell down. So used to right leg as dominant leg but I go try the left leg for fun and fell down.
left hand swollen and painful cos break fall and went to A&E. Now in a cast 2 week hospital leave and next wed see specialist
hopefully... will not become handicap after run tomorrow10K race pace in spikes = 大神 level
Good luck man. Hopefully the crowd is not that bad. Honestly..overtaking so many runners is quite a nice feeling alsoPen B is good already. Anyway it’s nett time. You just need to camp in front of your pen can already.
I am starting from Pen F lmao. But this year only HM and 5km runners so I think still ok
Seems like for the locals, the another alternative is to race overseas.for Singapore, National Federation should be SA sanctioned races. Other than SCSM, which is WA sanctioned, I don't think there's another SA sanctioned HM here. 10km or 5km have a few for their athletes meets.
2XU, for the last two year hoohaa for their shorten distance, make sense why SCSM insist on sanctioned race as proof. So does Boston Qualifying. Make sure is a WA sanctioned race, or else waste money.
Sub 130 whlist in Pen F? Will be the biggest achievement for sure imo.Pen B is good already. Anyway it’s nett time. You just need to camp in front of your pen can already.

Not sure what type of saurus gels (Elite & Non-Elite) is being provided for this year's SCSM, but I've tried the lemon flavor and let's just say, Its slightly less thicker as GU and the flavor is quite sour too.SCSM runners, race guide is out. Check the refueling station, 13.3km , 22.3km and 34.1km. Looks like this year gel is Saurus Aminosaurus. 25g carbs...
Can carry 3 less gel if this brands suits you. I might get a couple to test my stomach tolerance .
Sponsored, should be the cheaper non-elite one bah.Not sure what type of saurus gels (Elite & Non-Elite) is being provided for this year's SCSM, but I've tried the lemon flavor and let's just say, Its slightly less thicker as GU and the flavor is quite sour too.
