Hi all,

Im traveling to China in 1 months times. Its my first time travelling to China (GZ & SZ) and also my first time using Youtrip. My other oversea trip use normal Credit card.

So i now have both the physical and virtue Youtrip card, both activated (email verification) and i keep encounter the following error in Wechat.
'Rejected by your bank, please contact the bank customer service for more details.'

I tried the below methods recommended by Google but encounter the same error.
1.) top up $5 into the youtrip card
2.) link to bank account

any help?

Can you try to use Alipay and link it to your youtrip?
If Alipay works and wechat does not then at least you will know this is not a youtrip problem.

From past experience, wechat is more unuser friendly to foreigners.

My Trust card(Visa) also able to link to both Alipay and Wechat, will try Utrip later. I have used Alipay to pay my Taobao order and it worked.

I believe Mod is trying to tell you that the "Global" WeChat/Alipay that one have for non-Chinese is not usable apart from when one is visiting China.
This is the restriction set in place due to regulatory from China so you will never get it to work since it's not even available for non-Chinese usage outside of China in the first place...

Ok..i am facing a new problem haha. not sure is problem or is meant to be like this.
So i manage to link my Youtrip to my Wechat. I also completed the verification using my passport and etc...which Weixin Pay text me everything is ready.
I trying to test out if it is working or not by buying food (Popeye) and transferring $1 to another friend but at the selection part, my card is grey out and says 'International bank cards are not supported'.
Is there other thing i need to activate first?

It is only usable at China, for both Alipay and WeChat Pay.

There is nothing else you can test. You will know whether it works when you are in China.

When arriving in China, you'll need to activate. You should receive a message from the app. After activation test by buying small item from a convenience shop

Literally shared this by mod earlier and reiterated liao, nobody reads one. :s22:
Only way is to test when in China buying small valued items and at most if needed, any further verification if you have not done so. Then all should be good for subsequent usages.
