Sometime is old age that comes with lack of thirst sensation. We just under dehydrate by default when we reach 50. Couple this with our long duration of sweating for distance running, and for me worst being a heavy sweater, we just don't feel to need to drink enough.
Toilet we will notice the flow not strong as before, or take a longer time .
But ever since I started Creatine, which add about extra 800ml to my daily water intake and post exercise milk recovery which add 1.5 litre extra daily hydration. Urine is clear like water (some literature say this color is over hydrate), Toilet flow is as strong as when in the 30s and immediate. But if you plan to screen, better go ahead and screen for peace of mind.

I will raise this with a specific "wellness type" GP. Actually I have 2, one near my home and one at Hong Lim.
See what are the options, invasive or non-invasive types.

Those usual ones or those from Parkway Shenton, MHC.......dont waste time / $$$

Oyster $$$ le. Mussels also. Not sure if dried oysters a bit cheaper.
Clams are good, B12 also....issue is the contamination. NTUC iirc $5 plus for 500g, used to put into miso soup. Source is China and the brand is Ocean Fresh or is it Ocean Koss if i am not terribly wrong, and already did the homework, that area not so good with regards to pollution. (estuaries)
Yes, i separate zinc and copper and Mg intake. At least 2hrs.

I asked chatgpt to compare between dried oysters and clams. The dried oysters is 6x more zinc per dollar. It also has moderate amount of b12, but also high sodium. I think each day u will need 4 pieces of oyster which is about $1.50 to $2.

I still take zinc and magnesium pills separately. But nowadays I tend to take natural source for the zinc.

Other than these, I also taking k2. I have little to no access to natto, so sometimes eat chicken liver.

I starting to eat more chicken legs coz the skin got plenty collagen.

Winsports gel. (y)

Interesting, from his professional perspective (podiatry) dealing with runners, he said a lot dont fuel properly (marathoners).
Fuelling for marathon is something very new to me. Just started this year, infact later half of this year. The voice of runners being under fueled in light of the latest study is too hard to ignore.
I tried the winsport gel on a several occasions liao, one thing I can say is they are the sweetest gel I ever tasted. So sweet they gave me immediate throat sore. I guess the reason they are so sweet is they have the highest carb squeezed into one packet. 45g.
I don't know if I can feel the effects of intra workout fuelling, but since the study say one, just do it and hope of desirable result on scsm.

Guess after winsports gel need a rinse of water. Hence might need to time for the water stations.

Either that or need to self bring soft water flask.

Maybe if can get used to it fueling, wo the 2 damn bridges, might get sub 4. :ninja:

Yes, definitely need water to down the gel almost immediately for me. The throat irritation is gone immediately once I drink water.

Can recommend watch?

Currently using garmin venu sq. Have been a garmin user for maybe 8 years. One thing I like about garmin sports watch is my heart rate can be transmitted to my bike comp screen.

What I am looking for in a new watch:
1. Up to $500. Best if can be within $300.
2. Good battery life. Recharge every few days.

Under $300 for Garmin, I think for dedicated running watch is the Garmin 165. it's GPs is only single band. So won't be accurate as those that are dual bands like 265, 570 or 970. And hence their instant pace is more useable.

265 has stopped selling in Singapore officially. Don't know if you can still get it for cheap now since it's EOL here.

570 is the current mid level. I think this is the best features to price ratio model, You just missed the 11.11 sales where you can get it at around $480 with vouchers all stacked.
