Oh my,underestimated the congestion at later pens hahaha.

The issue arises when they divided the road into two parts. Absolutely no way to navigate. I think only Pen A and B can make it if you want to achieve certain timing.

Told you about it. But good job nonetheless. Rest well!

Great run Tudo88. Now you qualify for Pen A next year.

I buang after the 10km mark after vomitting 3 times including the gels I took. Pace went downhill after that.

still finished with 1:41:17. Not the best.. but I glad I didn’t give up though. Sub 1:40 gonna wait next year.
Not much congestion at pen b surprisingly. Didn’t spend much effort to cut through the crowd also (but went too fast 😪)

Good job as well. Yeah I observing the other side. Pretty empty for A and B runners. Pen C onwards is havoc hahaha.

I am already seeing some complaints from runners from Pen C and onwards. As a pen b runner, I will say this event quite well organised. Bag drop being quite smooth is a major plus. The Padang village is quite nice to chill also

Pen C is what timing? I mean can run at like 5.30 pace comfortably from Pen C onwards.

Hope she can win T100 Qatar. (she and even Talor Knibb heat bonked in Kona despite crazy heat training prep)

Buang still can get 1:41, a very fast time. Next year can use this result for pen A.

Yeah. At 11km,I was still hopeful but 12km onwards, the path was too narrow to cut already. Oh well.

Good luck later!
I notice a sudden drop in pace at around your 12km split. Due to bottleneck?

I decided to pass my FM racing bib to my colleague who did a taipei FM recently . The longest run I did is just 21km 2 weeks ago. So no fit enough to do a FM this time. I will train again for next year !
Think this is the smart choice. There always next year and putting your body thru FM stress after a recovery, definitely risky.

Seems like a lot of people bashing the organisers on social media. Long queue and overcrowding to get water after the run. Think got people faint also.. not enough water also I think
Tbh not a big fan of so much walking after the race to get through the maze of fences to reach Padang.

Yeah. The path only can fit like 4-5 runners. Basically from there on,I can only wait for opening then surge. Then walk a bit then make some noise then wait for the path open up again hahaha.

On hindsight, should haven taken more gels to make it more worthwhile
