More single long runs in one session definitely. There was one SCSM, I think was the first or 2nd year after covid, I ran all the way, (san upslope sheare bridge). And the final last 3 km, even surge the pace, and the legs weren't fatigue as bad as this year . Basically currently haven't build enough base. The day after the race, could still do recovery run zone 1 above 17km.

Difference was I was using pfritz zinger training plan, which has about three or more >30km long runs in the peak phase. And 20 to 25 km were the plans mid long distances which also plenty of them. But it is also demanding. It didn't improve my aerobic system as much as TAO. For TAO, by the time of SCSM race, my average HR was for MP was a comfortable 136 to 143, still within zone 2.
With pfritz zinger plan, too high mileage, shin splint, every week feels fatigue , too high training load and volume. But aerobic wise not much improvement. At the same HR range I was still much slower, can't do a sub 6 min pace vs 5:36 with TAO training.
Looking to still use TAO, but modify it when come to long run.
It is like how we train for HM, where our regular easy days now can go up to 21km without muscle fatigue, coz that's our base. Just need to make our base higher like the Pfizt zinger plan.
What is this TAO method?

Damn this colourway looks good too. But risk looking too China. :D
I got this colorway too

For sure china brands are gaining traction in the market. In one of my previous stadium runs saw a malay guy wearing a pair of Bmai.
just tried the LINING 飞电6 Elite at 上海体博会Shanghai Sports & Fitness Exhibition that held in conjunction with the 2025 Shanghai Marathon which will be this Sunday.
Super soft yet bouncy and responsive midsole.
BMAI supershoe is so damn light.
Many shoes to try, unfortunately some are only available to marathon participants. eg. Salomon Phantasm 3. Many running gears, supplements to get as well.
Super poisonous place 😂

wait till LiNing's latest offerings and BMAI supershoe arrive in SG next year. As someone who prefers firmer running shoe, am pretty confident that the Lining Feidian Elite 6 that is soft and super bouncy yet stable will sell very well.

I tend to agree. For most, average runner, that's where the leg muscle starts to fatigue. More long runs for training may delay the onset to later stage. Mind over body will factor more at this point onwards.

I was browsing thru one of the series of photographs taken by one SRC member who was cheering at the cheering station for our return leg. That is about 35km mark. Also my point where begin to walk run walk. I was looking and checking some runners who were behind me at this point. But their results were between 3:55 - 3:59. So if my mental resilient was strong enough to overcome the pain, there was still hope to meet my goal from 35km onwards. Weak lah...
I concur. Mind over body. Depends on how much you want it haha.

I could have sub 3.30 if I didn’t drop off after 37km but I just suddenly stop at one of the water point to rest. I was thinking to myself “Left 5 more km, that’s still quite a lot”

Malay guy on cheena bikes/wheels...... (Evolve, Winspace, Hyper etc). But problem is the price all going up up and away also.

I don't see China products as lao Kui. More about don't want China people here see me as their own.

Hmm.. maybe that could sway more ATB look my way? 🤔 :s13:

Anyway, I find Xiaonian automatically increased my cadence.

Usual cadence around 170. With XN easily 175, even at slower 6mins pace yesterday.

Also did 4 x 300m for VO2max, 4min pace. Just need to open step and the shoes will bring me along.

Damn fine shoes.

Just have to look past the big wierd names / wordings / whatever.
I think Ang mohs more sensitive. A lot of them pui chao nua on the "Quick Pro" label.

not surprised since i know what they can provide at low price since 2023.
If i participate in the SCSM HM, i will probably wear the 驚碳3.0 Turbo.
but i was referring to the super light supershoe, BMAI 驚碳 Ultra
but my bad, guess i wasn't addressing the topic of Chinese brands gaining traction in SG but was pointing out upcoming quality chinese brands running shoes, as my mind has long accepted that Chinese brands running shoes are indeed good and maybe even better at lower costs as compared to western and japanese brands.

LOL... lots of video the girls.. i challenge them to run 1km at that pace...

Got fast ones and not super rare also, just by sheer probability due to huge-ass population over there (plus nowadays got 高铁 so much more accessible nationwide)......was talking to bro xllms about this a few weeks ago only.
All shapes and sizes and age and pattern got. Girl debut 2:36 also got, not pro hor....but possibly ex-athlete

Even got 3:30 pacer all girls group.......(so basically they are much faster than 3:30) last one is guys pacer but you look at the crazy sized group both girls and boys. (of coz slower ones also have, probably even more massive).

That Japanese suguru osako who recently broke the Japan NR just helped Li Ning sold hundreds of feidian elite 6. As for me, next year SCSM, it will be on my watch list. LOL.

No doubt you can do it, if you hadn't done the HM the previous day.
A few months of targeted training for FM, I think you can join @Skyrillex to go for that sub 3.
